I grew up in San Antonio. I can tell you honestly that the Alamo is not worth the time. First off, it's fake. The original wasn't at that location. Also, it's just an overblown gift shop that's in the middle of downtown. Don't bother. I love San Antonio, but the Alamo is just a waste of time and money for visitors.
