You are so right about graphic novels being expensive. I usually can’t talk myself into buying them full price as I go through them so fast

I love your make up in this video so much! And the furby shirt is soo cool reminds me of my childhood. My furby used to make strange sounds and once we couldn’t find it and it was moaning for weeks somewhere behind a closet :D One of my favorite books was Skyward by Brandon Sanderson.

I loved the Long Way to a Small Angry Planet for the exact same reason! It's so beautifully and wonderfully diverse. And it can happen in real life!! I teach English to newcomers and that book 100% reminded me of my classroom and all the beautiful diverse friendships I get to witness every day.

You should find out if your library lets you borrow books through hoopla-- they have a ton of graphic novels if you don't mind reading them digitally! I just borrowed the first volume of I Hate Fairyland. thanks for the suggestion!

Salem’s lot is my all time favorite Stephen King. Out of the six I read Salem’s lot haunted me and the way it ended was fantastic. So glad I’m not the only one who loved it.

Oh my god...I LOVED My Best Friend's Exorcism! It was one of my favorites this year. I got to meet Hrady Hendrix at a book expo here in Cincinnati and he was so nice. He wore a tacky red velour blazer...it was magical, lol.

Ooh you have got to read the next Wayfarers book (it’s really a companion novel not a sequel), it’s my favorite of the 3 and I didn’t think I could love it more than Long Way to a Small Angry Planet but it made me cry like, 3 separate times and I never cry at books. It was just that good.

Based on the description of 'Sourdough' (I haven't read it myself, so this could be way off), I think you might like 'The Girl Who Chased the Moon', by Sarah Addison Allen. There's a nice element of magical realism to that book that I really enjoyed.

Hi! I love these videos at the end of the year and I'm really glad I stumbled onto yours! We have such similar taste, but I haven't read any Stephen King yet, although I love a lot of his film adaptations! I also love Joe Hill--if you're looking for a horror graphic novel, Locke & Key by Hill is ace. I read it through my library so if you're looking for a cheaper option, that might be one! xx

Wow, I don't think I have ever found a book tuber that loved so many of the same books as myself!! Sourdough , Summer of Salt, Undead Girl Gang and so many more. I read one book that no one talks about but I bet you would like it. Scream All Night by Derek Milman, set in a castle where horror movies are made but a deep family story. Check it out.

As someone who has been told this...what would you read first if the doctor told you that you'd be blind in five years? I'm 32 and the doctor said before I hit 40 I will be totally blind...but I love to read and want to read as much as I can before I am plunged entirely into darkness.

I also read the Child Finder, and I agree that it is amazing. I had a lot of favorites (twenty three 5 🌟 books), but I think one of the best out of my list is Darius the Great Is Not Okay. Contemporary novel with a kid who has depression and is Arabic. I loved it, and I thought the mental illness part was represented well.
