As usual, I really loved this video and found it very informative, very well structured and hollistic. I have seen so many therapists who very easily dismiss the basic needs as contributing and maintaining factors for many disorders, including anxiety, instead focusing on trauma of various sorts, working on it unsuccessfully. When someone doesn't sleep properly, doesn't eat properly, is less likely to be receptive to any therapeutic work so addressing basic needs is extremely important. I also love how you explain each symptom in terms of potential causing factors thus developing a very comprehensive image of the person's situation. I am really excited to watch your other videos.

I got diagnosed with general anxiety when I was 17, I am 24 now my anxiety has had ups and downs recently it is gone up quite a bit and making my life harder especially socially. Funny thing is I am very happy person no matter my anxiety I always find a way to be happy and I love people . I believe there are a lot of of reason for my anxiety number reason I believe is my adhd which causes to be restless and zone out to most things and then in turn this causes excessive energy and restlessness (which is sometimes good in the gym) when I am zoning out and restless it is for me to get anxious . 2 number small worries and obsessing over them(and this for many reasons) 3. Rejecting things and overnalzying. What is more fascinating is sometimes I get in states and moods where there is no anxiety and nothing can make feel anxious not even my worst fears and then sometimes it is everywhere

Id be curious to compare your mood states with your sleep quantity and quality, your ADHD symptoms, and your nutrition. I am making the assumption that trauma triggers are not an issue. I do have several videos on handling ruminations and getting out of your head. YOu can ask my AI at AllCEUs.com/DocSnipes-AI

Thank you for watching. While the video provides a structured approach, it's important to note that every person is different and may display their anxiety differently. Therefore, the order and selection of strategies may vary based on the individual's unique needs and circumstances. The goal is to provide a comprehensive and personalized approach to anxiety relief. It's my pleasure lately to watch your videos. I've been in a stressful situation for a long period of time because of conflicts with neighbours psychopats and their police friends. I am from Armenia , Yerevan. It's in Asia near Europe border. Lawfullness here is very pure. I had nervous breakdown in my teen ages, it passed, those criminally authorized gambler perverts started terrorizing me, even once I was beaten physically for talking to them for those deliberate noises at nighs to make me crazy, as they put that. I also want to ask how to flee from this environment, while I have nowhere to go. And as for your question, first I use the tip of getting rested, not move pointlessly, find my comfort pose and remine there a little. Sometimes meditate or exercise.

Not at this time. I would like to figure out how to do that, but licensure laws make it really difficult. Clinicians can only practice in their own state and any other state they have sought licensure in.

Like your point, l thought you could be little less in the argument of caffeine. ( and what you meant too much) .
@DocSnipes
@DocSnipes 17 күн бұрын
I agree. different people have different responses to caffeine and people with ADHD especially may be impacted diffferently. However, medically more than 400 mg/day is too much and caffeine within 8 hours of bed can disrupt your circadian rhythms and increase ruminations and intrusive thoughts the next day, thus increasing anxiety www.mayoclinic.org/healthy-lifestyle/nutrition-and-healthy-eating/in-depth/caffeine/art-20045678 Additionally, the APA has a lower threshold: Caffeine intoxication is a DSM-5 (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, 5th ed.) diagnosis assigned to individuals who experience symptoms like restlessness, nervousness, insomnia or digestive issues after consuming 250mg or more of caffeine

@DocSnipes

I'm sorry to hear that you're going through such a difficult time. Experiencing an anxiety attack can be incredibly frightening, but there are several strategies you can use to help manage your symptoms and reduce your anxiety. Here are some tips and techniques that might help: Breathing Exercises: Slow, deep breathing can help calm your nervous system. Try inhaling slowly through your nose for a count of four, holding your breath for a count of four, and then exhaling slowly through your mouth for a count of four. Repeat this several times until you feel more relaxed. Grounding Techniques: Grounding techniques can help bring your focus back to the present moment. One method is the 5-4-3-2-1 technique: identify five things you can see, four things you can touch, three things you can hear, two things you can smell, and one thing you can taste. Cognitive Restructuring: Challenge your anxious thoughts by asking yourself questions like, "What is the evidence that this thought is true?" and "What is the evidence that this thought is not true?" This can help you see the situation more realistically. Physical Activity: Exercise can help reduce anxiety by releasing endorphins and improving your mood. Even a short walk can make a difference. Mindfulness and Meditation: Practicing mindfulness or meditation can help you stay grounded and reduce anxiety. Apps like Headspace or Calm offer guided meditations that can be very helpful. Healthy Lifestyle Choices: Ensure you are getting enough sleep, eating a balanced diet, and avoiding excessive caffeine and alcohol, as these can exacerbate anxiety. Social Support: Reach out to friends or family members who can offer support. Sometimes just talking about what you're going through can help alleviate some of the anxiety. Professional Help: If your anxiety persists, consider seeking help from a mental health professional. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and other therapeutic approaches can be very effective in managing anxiety. Remember, it's important to be patient with yourself as you work through these strategies. Anxiety can be challenging, but with the right tools and support, you can manage it effectively.

Tell the doc you want a blood test to measure sex hormones, thyroid including reverse t3, B12, liver function and to screen for diabetes. It is a pretty standard "complete panel" when your tests come in, get a copy of them. This makes it easier to get a second opinion from a doctor or NP that specializes in restorative wellness.
