I wonder why nobody has thought to make a clear cap for one side of two sided brushes ( a cap like for pencil products) so one side can be protected while the brush is stored standing in a holder!?

Ok, so the white handled Wet n Wild makeup brushes are AMAZING. The ones with the pink tipped hair. They are all fantastic, but I love the blush brush, the foundation brush is good, but THE BEST one is the crease brush. It’s $.99 and SO soft and perfect. I literally have like 4-5 of them lol. The thing is, I can’t find that one everywhere. I find it at a store here called Smith’s (it’s our Kroger owned store.... Fred Meyer, etc.)

The Zoeva 142 Concealer Buffer Brush is definitely one I couldn't live without. I use it everyday to blend my eyeshadow primer, and it is awesome. I also love the Sigma F80 for foundation, and have recently discovered the new Smashbox brushes. The Sheer Cheek Brush has become my holy grail blush brush and the Sheer Powder Brush has become my holy grail all over powder brush. I also recommend the Sephora Pro Contour Brush and the Morphe E49 for setting under the eyes, the MAC 242 for packing on shimmer eyeshadow and the Morphe E36 for blending the lower lash line or for inner corner highlight.

Japonesque spray brush cleaner - life changer. Quick spray, wipe on a cloth. Dries in minutes, doesn't dry my brushes out, doesn't irritate my eyes. I have to wash my brushes much less often, and they are always clean when I want them. I use it every time I use my brushes.

I didn't even know Milani made brushes until yesterday when I picked up that exact highlighting brush from Walmart yesterday! So if you can't find those brushes in your CVS, Walgreens, Ulta, etc., try Walmart! On a side note, why is it that Walmart gets so many of the new launches and it takes other drugstores months for that stuff to trickle in...?

I'm soooo glad you did this. I love buying brushes, a little too much if I'm honest. Lol Inlove my Flower Beauty sponge and I bought it based on your recommendation. I hated the Real Techniques sponge, yuck. I may give the L'Oreal one a try. I love my Wayne Goss #16, I have hooded eyes and it's the perfect tapered crease brush. I love all my Elf and Wet n Wild brushes, these are proof that excellent brushes can be found inexpensively. Thanks for this Jess! You look beautiful.

I can never get into using bigger brushes for concealer so I'm always intrigued watching others do it😂 I have a collection of about 15 synthetic crease brushes & 15 mini beauty blenders that are just for concealer. I spread it out with a brush & smooth with a sponge. Bigger brushes & sponges never disperse as well. I end up having to use more product every time.

For christmas I got my favorite crease brush/brushes to date from MODA. I bought the mythical star set and fell in love with the crease brush and the domed shadow brush (used in the crease). Those two blend the crease out like nobodies business and makes it kinda hard to build up TOO much there. However god forbid you try to use them anywhere else you better be expecting a softer look. All the brushes are nice, but I want more of those crease brushes. I wish they sold the ones from that collection separately because I want THAT one SIGH.

Yes that stuff is amazing! Warning though for all!! I used it at my brothers one time and put my contacts back in before the time was up and it was the most painful thing I’ve ever experienced! The contact fused to my eye, burned like crazy and I legitimately thought “oh my god i just blinded myself”. I couldn’t keep my eye open long enough to get it out on my own, my brother had to hold my eye open for me. So dramatic and terrifying! So moral of the story is FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS TO A FLIPPING TEE! It’s scary if you don’t but such a good solution if you do follow the directions properly! (Hard and painful lesson learned!)

There’s a large triangular tipped paddle brush that I like better than the L’aQuere and the Artis - I got it in a set for like $49 (I don’t even think it has a brand name), but because of the tip, I don’t have to change brushes for concealer from foundation AND it gets into the nose crease where it’s hard to blend foundation... LOVED this video, BTW, just bought an It cosmetics blush brush

After Christmas I found a set of brushes with rose and gold handles at Target. They were originally $12 for the set of 5 with a small zipper case. I paid $3 and figured if they weren’t any good, no big deal. Wow, was I surprised in a good way. The blush brush puts on blush so natural looking it almost doesn’t look like you’ve applied makeup but that you have a natural flush. All of the other brushes work equally as well. The ELF crease brush is also a huge favorite as are some of the others.

hey jess i agree the consistency in the quality of drugstore sponges and even some brushes isn't the best...my favourite one from the drugstore is the green sponge from ecotoools and the original real techniques sponge! However the beauty blender is the only sponge that doesn't take of product on certain parts of my face when im trying to build up a foundation or layer cream products (concealer, bronzer, blush, highlight, contour) and I don't know what it is but i have tried so many methods of blending product out that at this point i've just gone back to my trusted sigma F80 flat top kabuki brush, is the LA girl sponge any good maybe l'll give that a go and hopefully don't have the same problem with it

For eyes, the best thing I've done is get squirrel hair Wayne Goss and Hakuhodu ones for anything below the crease and Hakuhodu crease brushes in supersoft goat. My eyes water terribly to even touch my lashes area so I realized that using the supersoft squirrel for outer V and lining top and bottom lashes really made a HUGE difference because they don't subtly scratch the skin near my lashes and I can barely feel using them. Highly recommend it if your eyes water.

The L’Oréal sponges are too hard for me. I was really surprised that you really like that one, so I have been sticking with the yellow/orange sponges by real techniques. I so want to try the Flower beauty sponge though. I have looking for something else to try besides the real technique sponge. I really want a sponge that has the really pointed edge on one end. Love this video by the way. Always looking for good affordable brushes. I have a lot of brushes from Eco tools, but I don’t hear anyone talk about those brushes. They are so so soft too.
