Others have mentioned the Smiths Everest and the Christopher Ward C63 Sealander. I would add the Grand Seiko SBGX 261/263, admittedly it’s 37 mm but having considered most of the above (6.5 inch wrist) it’s the one I’m probably going to get.

The Tissot is a stunner ! I want to take this oppertunity to go off topic and allude to the Breitling Aerospace Ana-Digi featured a few videos ago. The digital functionality of this watch copies that used in the Dunhill DM7 and Rado circa 20 years ago right down to the digital font. Obviously the build is different with the Dunhill and Rado being dress watches and they were and still are beautiful examples of understated elegance. If Andrew and Tom can get a hold of these old watches it would make an interesting juxtaposition with the Breitling.

@@MattSeesGray 7.75 at the wrist and about 8 at the point beyond the knuckle on the wrist if I wear it higher up. I'm a big boy (past football player) at 6' 2" and 270lbs. So while I understand size can be subjective, 36mm just doesn't look right on me. At least in my eyes. I don't like how anything larger than 42mm looks on me either. If I was someone who wears shiny bracelets (jewelry) than maybe it wouldn't bother me, but the watch is the only thing I wear so perhaps that affects my perception of the size.

Explorer forever! 36 is a great size - incredibly versatile. But its a size that's pretty unusual in most brands' lineups (Rolex excluded). Odd, because its the classic men's size and fits most medium male - ML wrists well. It wears big on a smaller male/average female wrist though, where 34 gives a similar vibe. 36 especially poorly represented by Omega. Shame. Notable square/rectangular equivalents are the Santos medium or Reverso medium. Comfort is often overlooked and 36 is soo comfy, sliding under clothes or outdoor kit so well.
