Zombies Ate My Neighbors. You have to stay close together because the screen is do small and if you don’t move and reach the corner of the screen, your partner can’t continue on. There is also a bonus if you save more victims than the other player so there will be a lot of fighting over getting them.

Grand Theft Auto V Online. There’s a lot of players who would go out of they’re way to show others that they’re better than everyone, especially when griefing. GTA is about becoming a successful criminal, not turning it into a COD battlefield.

Mario party doesn’t have anything on ruining friendships compared to Dokopon Kingdom. It’s even advertised on the box the the game ruins friendships, which is definitely true especially when it’s so similar to Mario Party but with the explicit opportunities to embarrass and sabotage your opponents.

Dishonorable Mentions: *Dokapon Kingdom -Its basically Mario Party, Monopoly, and an RPG rolled into one. And not only can fight monsters but you can also fight each other, and upon victory you can do all sorts of things to your defeated opponent such as force unwanted conditions, rob their items, or humiliate them by changing their name, hairstyle or their face. *Contra -Like Cuphead, you THINK adding a partner would make the game easier. Well, ...that depends on how good your partner is at the game, if there's a discrepancy, that's when shit hits the fan. You're gonna need all 30 of those lives from the Konami Code. *Battletoads -Co-op can be fun, unless you make the mistake of adding in friendly fire AND NOT LETTING PLAYERS TURN IT OFF! You can damage each other in this game. You thought Turbo Tunnel was bad? Try with a partner where one player screwing up leads to BOTH players having to restart the level. And in level 11, There's a glitch where player 2 can't move at all! Meaning you have to get a game over and let player 1 continue, ALONE! This was fixed in Rare Replay thankfully.

Where's the Splatoon Duology? It's online feature is gamer rage bait, with players constantly getting splatted, and half the time the rankbots place you in the most unfair lobbies, and hell, it doesn't even allow you to leave the game at all.

Certain games I remember, were played by the guys at Achievement Hunter, which also led to rage, especially Michael Jones. For example, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, where Michael rages over Matt Bragg's multiple track finishes. Another example, NSMBU, cause if someone else uses the tablet, it led to trolling your team, and lots of lives lost.

Other than Portal 2, all of the following games would be staples of Games Night that I'd host with my group of friends: Jackbox Party Packs, Stick Fight, Worms WMD, Super Smash Bros Ultimate, Rocket League, Fall Guys, GoldenEye 007/Perfect Dark, Gang Beasts, Among Us, Overcooked, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Mario Party Superstars... would be interesting to see a list of competitive multiplayer games that DON'T ruin friendships!

@Bob The dope man Yes, the Overcooked series of games is on this list, at number 3, as a matter of fact. I'm so glad that Mojo mentioned it, because my mother and my mother's boyfriend had plenty of fights over strategies in many levels, while I was just mostly an innocent bystander. However, it was all worth it, as we got 3 stars in almost all levels over Overcooked 1 and its DLC's and even Overcooked 2 and its DLC's. In fact, we even made 4 stars in most of the main Overcooked 2 levels, which you can see on my own KZbin channel.

A Way Out should be on the list, considering the reveal near the end after Harvey has been dealt with that one of the two playable characters, Vincent is revealed to be a cop, and that he has been using Leo to get to him. Now that the job is done, he'll having to put him back in jail which Leo doesn't take it well, leading to the gunfight to the death between him and Vincent where one of them will live and regret killing the other for the rest of their lives.

@Donovan Same here. I've been playing this game together with my mother and my mother's boyfriend for a few months now, and I have been enjoying it a lot. However, that isn't to say that our friendship wasn't put to the test during the game. For example, one time, I was playing as Yoshi together with my mother as Birdo, her boyfriend as Donkey Kong and Wario as the AI. Everything was going well, as I was in the lead with 2 stars. However, out of nowhere, things go really badly, namely Wario stealing one of my stars with Boo and my mother's boyfriend landing on a Chance Time Space and making me give my last star to my mother. I seriously flipped out then and said a whole lot of bad words in quick succession one after the other. PS: In my honest opinion, Birdo is a really cool character. She is a sort of a cross between a Yoshi and a Shy Guy.

A game that ruins friendship: DOKAPON KINGDOM. A Competitive Mario party-like JRPG About who gets more money wins. People can kill each other, rob proprieties from other player, play massive trolls, contract assassins and thieves to harm other player... Just a 4 player nice time where everyone will punch each other.

My brothers were playing Mortal Kombat on Sega and my brother just mashed some buttons and pulled off a fatality. 16:53 This one definitely ruined my friendships. Nearly lost half of my friends over this game and all because one of them manipulated me into helping them win as imposter. When I got dicked over too many times, I exposed them and then the whole Discord server were making me out to be the bad guy. In the end they kicked me off the server. Literally the worst group of people I had ever played with. Glad they're out of my life.

I've only played 4 of these games and one, barely at all. Not a fan of Mario Kart even in 1P mode lol. Never destroyed any friendships, though there was a time 3 of us chose Oddjob just because one person said "No Oddjob!" and we spent the entire match only going after that player. Oddjob isn't really that hard to deal with imho, you just have to get better at aiming or use other weapons.
