I feel like she’s been using better vocal technique compared to the lotus era!!! Hitting those Eb5 like it’s nothing!!!!

she isn't. she actually hit a lot of effortless eb5's during Lotus too! But i think since she is using her voice a lot more with touring and vegas, it is getting a better workout and able to stay consistent

Not just lotus but also better than stripped and Bionic. It may not be as effortless as those eras but its better technique.
@jerry6463

Michelle Jarone from the major performances in lotus I feel like she is either more nervous or she is just pulling a lot more chest voice to hit them. A lot of the times the notes would be flat or would crack. A lighter mix is a much more sustainable way to go to hit those notes in my opinion. Perhaps if Christina was naturally as high pitched as Ariana then she could do super full chesty belts at those registers but after all these years of singing that style just isn’t sustainable for her anymore.
@jerry6463

Art Aspire I feel like mid bionic era was when her voice started having problems. Perhaps breakup or alcohol or drugs or worse vocal techniques. She started pushing her voice past the point where it would break and crack. She sounds way more relaxed and balanced and easy right now!

Considering that E5 was the top of belt range prior to Mulan and the training she received for that, F5 and higher as a belt was never "easy" for her. She usually lowered those high notes live even in her younger prime.

It just seem so easy for her to her to belt Eb5’s. Thats why i think she could belt higher. But she only uses chest voice, she doesnt mix, which i think would be better and much easiere for her

She sounds marvelous. I never would have thought she would sound this good in basically 2020. That run at 2.20 doesnt get enough praise; Its so damn fast and precise. The Maria C#5 run is also my fave. That ANOM opening is the best of her career but for me every performance of TWICE is magical. So much creativity and i love the colorful vocal dynamics she uses in it. Its like shes painting a picture with her voice.

I do not understand what is everyone’s sudden obsession with supported notes....yes it is good to sing with support but these are mainstream singers not broadway singers they do not have to sing robotically perfect. The way they sing indifferently is what makes their voice unique to their fans. A lot of well rounded technical singers sound bland and emotionless when singing sometimes so every now and then it sounds good to hear that rasp or that pulled back strained vocal depending on the song. Could singers perfect their craft to deliver the same qualities with technique ? Yea I’m sure most could, but if they choose not to just accept them for their tonal quality or other good attributes of their voice and do not just focus solely on them having poor technique and if you do not want to do that then move on.
@NawiTheCore
@NawiTheCore 4 жыл бұрын
Most people do not even understand what support is. They believe that if there's tension, it can't be supported. You can sound tense and still support, or sound super relaxed and free like Ariana and have no support.
@bac8574
@bac8574 4 жыл бұрын
@@NawiTheCore I'd rather listen to Xtina's "unsupported" vocal than Ariana's breathy, mumbling, nasaly vocal
@vocallover2197
@vocallover2197 4 жыл бұрын
Nahuel this is interesting, I’ve never heard this one. Idk if it is true or not but from my knowledge i thought that if someone is tense that vocally they would be blocking their support ? So how could someone support with tense vocal chords ? I know Ariana does not sing with any tension but she sings with a throaty nasal placement so that would be her reason for not supporting
@truekriol7738
@truekriol7738 4 жыл бұрын
ppl are concern about support and techniques, because a lot of their favorite singers are losing their voice due to poor technique. Xtina could have achieved everything that she did vocally with healthy technique. But because of years of abuse to her voice, she is struggling and have to lower the keys to most of her songs.
@vocallover2197
@vocallover2197 4 жыл бұрын
True Kriol lol i wish this statement had truth to it but Christina has not. Quite frankly i believe she is in the best condition vocally that she’s been in years. Lady marmalade still the same key, voice within still the same key, beautiful still the same key, ain’t no other man still the same key, she sang it’s a mans world a semi tone lower and for her it’s still impressive because she was belting notes people believed she should not still be able to hit due to her years of poor technique. I am not aware of any singers either who have lost their voices due to bad technique everyone alive is still singing with the same vocals they used to except Mariah Carey and that’s because of her nodules.

If you compare vocalist like Lisa Fischer vs Lara Fabian, Sohyang vs Beyoncé, Jona Viray vs Barbra Streisand, Mariah Carey vs Natalie Weiss, or Whitney Houston vs Celine Dion....what other qualities about these singers voices would determine if one was better than the other if all of their techniques are pretty similar and or close to equal! Just saying a vocalist is shitty because they do not use good technique is not a good reason to define them as such when there are many more qualities to a voice then just technique.
@truekriol7738
@truekriol7738 4 жыл бұрын
The first thing you look at is their technique and how well they uses it to achieve their notes. U also look at their musicianship. Tone is subjective when rating a vocalist, because everybody has their own personal taste. That is why vocal experts don't rate a singer base on their tone.

True Kriol this is all true but for so many people to automatically define Christina as a bad vocalist solely on the fact of her having bad technique is absurd. Too many qualities of a good vocalist out there to just choose one that will determine if one is good or bad. Just like Christina has many qualities of her voice that do make her a good vocalist minus her obviously having poor technique you know.
