Hey! Me too! Born in 1995 and watched it in the 2000s, though. My dad had primary custody of me so I was only at her house on the weekends but Saturday nights were my favourite. Back-to-back COPS followed by America's Most Wanted. We'd always try to guess the tally of how many people AMW had caught before the episode. It's no wonder I love true crime now. Some of those cases (and reenactments) were terrifying and probably shouldn't be watched by a kid - seeing the moment Brian Wells' collarbomb went off, for instance. Time flies. Since I stopped watching it with her, they've caught Dennis Rader (BTK), Yaser Abdel Said, and Jessica Hoopsick confessed to being involved (and maybe working with) Brian Wells - which were the crimes I remember most vividly. Since then, both shows have also been cancelled and renewed multiple times. I'm glad they're both about to be back.
