It's all drama and entertainment, I don't think anyone on this show could really care less if they lose a deal, they probably get paid more to do the show than they make from investments from the show. Every investor knows it's their job to sell themselves to startups and companies if they want to be early seed investors and they also know, plenty of other firms are also putting their best foot forward. It's no different from this show, Founders are going to hear the serious ones out.

i agree, kevin very well could have offered to go in with robert or potentially even underbid him, then when robert backed out kevin can say whatever he wants because its her last opportunity, you gonna tell me kevin heard roberts offer was 5% and he gonna offer her 10% and think she is gonna take it? also these rich people are never gonna look for the best offers, assuming there are multiple interested parties, when they sell stuff? obviously in hindsight she shoulda taken roberts deal but drama is required for a tv show

What is the problem? She came there with an offer. In all fund raising activities there is filtering stage where all uninteresting offers are declined in advance. If she got there it is because: either some analytic thought there is a potential in investment close enough to her original offer or they wanted some action, like calling her a “gold digger” and spilling water. In any way they also wasted her time and took that time from somebody who needed it to make better show. So real question is who is a gold digger there.
