Even in his warmups with an 80$ amp you still hear his amazing tone... Proof that tone is in the touch :)

Tell me difference between tone and sound ;)
@moritzkohn4396 Жыл бұрын
@@damonlynx8251 tone is what you have in the fingers.. it’s the way the guitar makes the sound, even without an amplifier.. It comes down to many things.. how you hold the pick, your way of playing scales, vibrato and so on.. Sound is the guitar pickups, the amp, the guitar wood, the cables, the effects and so on… Slash will sound like slash on any guitar he ever picks up, but you can still tell the difference between him playing his rig and him playing a shit guitar/shit amp

@@moritzkohn4396 I would rather use word style than tone but thanks for explanation :)
@neil2226 Жыл бұрын
@@damonlynx8251but in the guitar world it’s not called style it’s called tone. Style is what you wear etc, or in lots of cases what you have a lack of!

@@neil2226 Quick example kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZqOUhpVqn5lgeLs "Slash Style Guitar". There's a lot of videos named like this one. For me it's better to use style and tone than tone and sound (which is very much similiar).

This video sorta confirms that rock n roll guitar playing is more about a good overdrive than distortion ... I have had that misconception since forever unless I started to use a few pedals myself ... Most people around me be using a lot of distortion but i have now started understanding how a good overdrive is just enough for rock n roll solos ... Have I got it right ?

the comment section is a great example of how people are blinded by celebrities. If some guy walked into guitar center and started noodling around like this you'd want someone to turn the amp off. but since it's a celebrity noodling aimlessly, you all think it's genius.
