@sabrevanson44124 жыл бұрын
@@Blue_Pumpkin I agree. Intel needs to change, but they dont want to. They have a minor edge in game, and lets be fair here it is minor. But the cost to achieve that edge is not IMO worth it. Intel needs to change how it sees this. SADLY, there are so many hardcore Blue fans that dont care about the price differnce. They only see AMD 165 FPS, Intel 175FPS for +100$. Thats all they see. Its a shame. I personally would love to see Intel take a year ass a loss (well another i guess they got clobbered in 2019) and finally go to 7nm, or even try to beat AMD to 5nm. and come out swinging like a champ. If Intel had a decent amount of speed on 10nm AMD could well have ended up being 10-25% behind Intel, so I guess AMD got lucky. Maybe lucky enough to gain the performance crown for a couple of years but Intel will come back at some point, but us consumers will be the winners so I say bring it on. I love watching your channel and Tech Deals as well...Always informative and down to earth. In December I upgraded my wife’s computer finally after 10yrs of use. I must say I didn’t have a choice either, if you know what I mean…. Taking the best from both channels, Tech convinced me best bang for the buck was the R5-3600 as you just confirmed, again. What I loved on your channel was your data on the MB thermals, price ranges, etc. and went with the TUF x570 - for 3 reasons, was in the price range with upgradability, the thermals in the middle, and as Tech stated, for a few $$ more save the headache with the BIOS flashing… She is not into gaming so I didn’t need FPS, just for her small video making, zoom conferencing and general business. The ASUS 1660 OC w/8GB was perfect. With everything new was just under $1,100US. For me, I’ll wait to see what’s coming out with AMD later this year or so. What I need my unit for is mostly business, but sneak in a game or 2 like civilization & borderlands even if mine is 12yrs old - an i5 - 3.2 on an old P55 MB with a EVGA GT730 GPU.

@SpeedsterBlur4 жыл бұрын
@@lepari9986 Oh you are definitely wrong on that. It's much better to get a better cpu than a better GPU first. If you're CPU bottlenecked you get tons of stuttering in a lot of games. Sure you can have higher settings to try to get the load onto the gpu, but unless the game in question is mainly gpu bound manifest you'll deal with a constant hitching. I've gone through this twice. Once with a 1050ti paired with a core 2 quad q8300 and again with an rx 5700-xt paired with an i7 3770. Being GPU bottlenecked means you can't have the settings as high, but your framerate despite being lower will be more consistent depending on the game of course, but in most cases you should have a more consistent framerate. After getting an r5 1600AF and pairing that with my rx 5700-xt most of the stuttering stopped and many games became a lot smoother.
@Thefuror385004 жыл бұрын
@@SpeedsterBlur You are confusing "gpu bottleneck" with the stuttering caused by a cpu being overloaded (like the core i5 6/7th gen for example, 4c/4t not being enought for modern games). I can garantee you that a 1700x for example is going to be a "bottleneck" for a 2080ti at 1080p, but you won't have troubles with stuttering.

MSI B450 Tomahawk Max + Ryzen 5 3600 can't go wrong for great value and strong performance. I bought mine in FEB this year just before the Sh!T hit the fan with shortages and price hikes, and I must say I love that set up. For good middle of the range set up, coupled with an RTX 2060 super and 16 GIG DDR 3200mhz it runs very well. Will look at an upgrade later this year when all settles down and the new series are launched.

Some benchmarks services also manipulate results(one of them is Userbenchmark team) unfortunately. In the comparison and explanation sections of their website, they make nonscientific comments about Ryzen processors. I'm sure they are getting dirty payments from Intel for this. Intel and Nvidia are doing a lot of these tricks. For example, threatening laptop and motherboard manufacturers not to use AMD! lntel want they use AMD processors only in crappy/low level products(like Asus Tuf and MSI Mech series) to avoid monopoly lawsuits. Asus even produced AMD versions of the famous Rog Strix graphics cards defective and later admitted that they were manufacturing defects. this was not an accident ;)

What's great about the competition between Intel and AMD is that now even the cheap processors are pretty amazing. A few years ago, I bought a cheap desktop PC and it was barely even useable because the processor could barely handle running Windows. We're getting closer to the point where you can buy almost laptop or desktop at any price point, and the daily use performance is fantastic.
