Apologies, late to this video. I'm buying a luxury sedan with some performance in 2025, and all 5 on your list are on my list that I'm currently researching. My list order is always changing but currently I have the M340i xdrive on top. Never owned a BMW and yes I have concerns about cost of maintenance, repairs and reliability but it appeals to me as the only one that has all the boxes checked for me. The TLX Type S, Integra Type S and Lexus IS 350 AWD are next in no particular order. Since I've always wanted a Lexus for their luxury and reliability I'm also looking at the ES but only the the 350. Love your videos and appreciated this one greatly!

Yep, outside of the LS500h, the Lexus ES300h (hybrid) is a great luxury vehicle that is reliable, efficient, and practical in the luxury car classification. I have the Ultra Luxury Trim with additional options and dealer add-ons. Love the vehicle and am getting 41+ MPG in the city and I don't baby it. Changed the oil and filter at 1,000 miles with Liqui Moly 0W16 Special Tec AA oil and a Toyota filter for that engine model. I plan on changing the oil & filter every six-months or 5,000 miles, whichever occurs first. Like Scotty Kilmer and The Car Care Nut state on KZbin, oil and filters are cheap, engines are expensive. 🤔

@@essendon72bs! There is no Korean brand in the current reliability top 10 from Consumer Reports annual survey - I hope you are not that dumb to mistake JD Power dependability survey (in fact renamed from Initial Customer Satisfaction survey, because this is what it actually is). There were years when Kia and Hyundai entered the last places of that top, but the next year they were always out (just like other brands paying to be mentioned as good). And Genesis was never in that Top 10, not even close. The only European brand able to maintain its #8 or 9 position in the reliability top is Porsche. The rest are mostly Japanese brands, starting with the #1 Lexus. But, yes, the Koreans are generally better than the Germans (from which they took plenty of engineers etc. - the disadvantage being that they have a lot of planned obsolescence built in their cars). The Japanese top producers are also going down in reliability, but they are going down slower than the rest, thus they are still the undisputed champions of most auto segments.
