Lyle, even though I’m a C4 guy, I really enjoy your videos on the later models, especially when I can tell one of those owners what’s wrong with his car! The typical response is “How’d ja know that?” Hey, I’m a C4 owner, I know things.😊

Lyle, as per usual, right on the mark. I’d heard about the “ wheel lock nest “, but not that you have to actually lift carpet to access properly. Thx. I’ve had my ‘02 for 2 years now. The more I learn about it, the more I believe it was waaaay ahead of its time. Some stuff makes you scratch your head and wonder how the minds that designed this car could think, putting main computer under battery was a great idea (weight dist’n is all I can think of), location of oil pressure sensor, seat design, console lid gyrations to open safely, but overall, a brilliant design. Sound of a powerful American V8 in cold start and goes like a scalded cat. Handling. Then the ability to relatively easily and economically modify it to your heart’s content. I love mine.

So I have one question Lyle. If you happen to live in Germany like I do and you set the speedometer to KMH, the HUD will go back to 2 digits after exceeding 199kmh. If you drive 220kmh, the HUD will display 20kmh. My assumption was, the car is not capable of going 200mph, so the ability to display 200+ was not necessary. Now here comes the twist, I´ve seen pictures of HUDs showing 250 for example. How do I get the HUD to do that? Thank you for yet another great video! Also, the shifter light is indeed there, I only got to see it before switching to second once or twice.

I want to take a road trip from Idaho to the corvette museum. I was shoping C5 Corvettes. But during my search I have discovered the C4. Seems to have a better driving experience. Am I losing focus or should the C4 get concentrated. I seen a lot of excellent low mileage C4 and C5’s. They seem to be about a $5000 dollar swing between the two apples to apples.

Thanks so much for answering my question!!! I can’t wait to land the C5 and start buying parts from you. Keep up the amazing videos!!!

HELP! I'm trying to decide between a 2003 C5 and a 2013 G37 coupe awd. This will be my daily. Any advice?
@csvetteАй бұрын
For a daily driver, I would choose the 10-year-newer G37. It is still a fun car with good power and decent handling and it will probably be less maintenance hungry than the 22 year old Vette. The Vette feels like nothing else and the driving experience is far more engaging than that of the G37, but it you have a limited budget and need a car to rely on in all conditions, the G is the best choice at this moment in your life. Lyle :)
