0:19 blightfall!?!? If I had a nickle for every time a mining game had a world eating infection and the peice of content that added the infection thing was called [word for sickness]fall, I'd have 2 nickles, which isn't a lot but it's strange that it happened twice. The rockpox is all over me!!!

My Favorit is Blightfall. I played this a lot back in the day and also started a new run in the pandemic. The world and the Story are really unique in all of the Modpacks I played so far. The cleanup of the whole map was very satisfying, to just have more and more building space the further you got. I really wished where was a Blightfall 2 in a modern Version, because it's somewhat dated nowadays. But sadly without a Mod that has something like the Taint from Thaumcraft is wouldn't be the same.

I have fond memories of the Voltz modpack way back in the day. I don't remember what version it was for, but certainly before 1.12. I had no clue what I was doing, but I had fun in creative building giant bases loaded with antimatter missiles and power suits ready for nonexistent threats.

i really liked playing Tekkit Classic on a Skyblock-Map with 5 additional Islands. And everything you had in the Chest was a Transmutation Table with an Tome with all Item. In this version Cobblestone and a Slab had the same EMC-Value and so you could double Cobble and your available EMC for anything else. It was fun creating all kinds of machines to create an infinite amount of Energy

Don’t know if you can consider this an old mod packs I don’t know when it first came out but enigmatica 2 expert is one of my favorite tech mod packs it has a good quest book the pack is complicated but not something so complicated that you just get lost in the recipes but intricate enough where you can’t just instantly crafted anything you want even in the late game

For me its going to be the original Technic pack for beta Minecraft. It was such an impressive thing to behold at the time in 2011. Bringing together all the tech mods made way for a whole new genre of games. Automation games. Like Factorio, or Satisfactory. Its really dated by modern standard. I'm not sure if anyone actually has the original technic pack still around, maybe ill go and try to find it some day and play it My 2nd favorite would probably be Voltz. Monkey brain likes warfare and explosions and although i never got to actually properly play it (pvp) i had so much fun blowing stuff up and tinkering with the tech mods

speaking of 1.7.10 or older mod packs, i personally like "crash landing" even though i cannot survive hard mode at all lmao. Regrowth is also another one i really like when it come to the questing packs, plenty challenging and unique

My all time nostalgia modpacks are FTB Lite (1.4.7) and Tekkit Classic (1.2.5). For Tekkit Classic I can only recommend the Skyblock Map made by SexyDex

Enigmatica 2 expert is an amazing pack; it's a modpack that if you know modded mc on 1.12 well enough you can blaze through in a few weeks' time on and off. Or take hundreds of hours if you don't.

My favorite packs are: project ozone 3 on titan, nomifactory ceu, ftb infinity evolved expert(this is packs period, not just new packs. I like quest expert packs with gated progression and that just doesn’t exist in modern mc as far as I can tell)

I have started playing a tech modpack by the name of GregTech: New Horizons. Is a 1.7.10 modpack and it is based on a few core mods but mainly around the GregTech mod. By the name it is a tech modpack but sometime into progression there are a few magic mods like thaumcraft, blood magic and witchery. Every stage of progression has its own name. And every stage is "gated" behind some technological progression.

Oh boy, you're in for a long ride. GTNH is commonly refered to as the hardest modpack out there (at least when discussing expert tech packs-the average joe would probably say RLcraft or something). Average completion takes around 5,000-8,000 hours, I'm pretty sure (hard to say exactly, since almost no one beats it), which is like 10 times the length of DJ2 which is already massive.

Oh, yeah, 1.7.10 is the Minecraft version I started to learn Tinker's Construct mod and the addons which added materials from other mods. 🙂 I remember I played Awakening, a modpack which had unique mining levels, own resource pack and well balanced crafting recipes of well known mods. Although I didn't finished that modpack, it's still a great modpack to learn and use magic and tech mods' contents. 🙂

That one mob, alongside blue Buzzwole, is a big part of why I don't like Alex's Mobs. It's just not for me, I tend to prefer things that actually feel like they fit the base game. (That being said, stuff like Blightfall is cool, even if it doesn't feel like Vanilla at all. Probably cause it just becomes it's own thing at that point)

I generally dislike premade world modpacks, but I think Crash Landing is a true classic. Tekkit and Hexit are both TRUE classics though. That's what I used to watch all the time when I was first getting into the game. I hadn't been able to play it until many years later, but Tekkit, Hexit, and people just playing those two packs are just... it was a different time, man... :(
