I do 20s on my sin rogue and have never felt at any disadvantage. Outlaw sure can feel lacking though, yet I have a friend who still holds their own in those same keys with it.

I'm a druid tank and I'm doing 21+ keys with a set grp on the odd occasion we pug and the player doesn't outright leave instantly due to none DK tank. i love changing the opinion of DPS when our grp has 0 deaths and clear the key super smooth, only for them to ask for my bnet tag. sure when it hits 25+ then yeah I can see how a druid will struggle in its current form, but the whole metagame is just a joke at sub 20 keys. take what you enjoy and have fun and ignore the freaky meta BS.

so over all. affliction warlocks and moonkins are the best for all 3 categories. if nr. 1 gets 5 ponts and nr. 5 gets 1 point the specs look like this: havoc DH: 4 points WW Monk: 8 points MM Hunter: 9 points Moonkin: 12 points Affliction lock: 12 points so just bring moonkins and affl locks and you are good to go. you might want other classes for certain utilities, but if you can do without, just fill the 3 slots with these 2.

hey, one of the classes and specs you have skipped entirely that i think should have been taken in to account both in terms of utility for the class but also for the groups that its in is the shamans, the enhancement shaman , the elemental shaman, both dps specs are danm good and have a lot to bring to the group as well as to the player. second class, retribution paladin, also brings a lot of utility to the group as well as dealing great dps.

We stand by the info presented - certainly there will be salt that it's not diverse but that doesn't mean it's wrong. He is just a butthurt enhance, 100%, pay it no attention. I am however surprise by the lack of arms warrior in the top 5, I'd think they are at least as good as a demon hunter. Def stance, Commanding Shout, 20 sec CD aoe stun, Intimidating Shout as another AoE Interrupt, taunt + swords to handle bosses if tank dies/needs resets for necrotic/certain mechanics that do hard hits and soaking, etc. Good mobility, tremendous AoE burst. Surprised its not on the list really. Fury does more damage but lacks tremendously in utility compared to arms.

It’s an interesting list and I get why you did it the way you did, so people could see the big 5 classes and specs. I’d like to see another video about the raw potentials for each class compared to all the others. I think it would be a very different list that people would want to see. Also, Destro Lock is the stealth ninja for M+. The self healing isn’t as good as Aff, but the single target is much beefier.

I do find it a bit surprising that boomkins are #1 for versatility & utility and affixes, while ferals (who have most of the exact same utilities that make Boomkins #1) don't even make top 5. Also, while boomkins may have some very nice utilities like Solar Beam, ferals have stampeding roar, a better defensive cooldown (i.e. survival instincts), can interrupt more frequently than Boomkins and can move throughout dungeons more easily without sacrificing damage. I don't mind recognising that boomkins' AoE damage is generally better than that of ferals, but I think ferals can make up a little by having way better single target damage, and still a reasonably competitive sustained and burst AoE compared to other classes.

Problem is that you only get "points" if your utility is something other classes cant do, like.... Solar Beam. Why bring a feral for interrupt, mobility and defense when you can just pack another WW monk and you are done with it. Its the "niche" that you got that makes you viable, not stuff everyone else has.

I'm not really fussed about boomkins being overall more highly rated than ferals, but if you're ranking classes based on their utilities, there doesn't seem to be much of a gap between ferals and boomkins, as many of those outlined on the video are common to both specs. I'm not convinced that solar beam makes the whole difference between the #1 utility rank and whatever feral's rank is, as there are other classes with mass silencing effects.

It is fun to see how ppl are bashing, and showing alot of negative reaction toward this video just because their favorite class to play it's not in there and because maybe this video may have an influence in puging 20-22+ keys, (then again why would u pug and expect to get invited instead of having ur own team and trying to reach 27 keys and see if other classes not mentioned may or may not be good for this lvl). Take it with a grain of salt, but curently they are top players both raiding and mythic+, and if this combination works for them as we can see 27 keys, who are we to judge. BM Hunters can also do all of these things. They also have disengage, Turtle, exhilaration and very strong single target damage. Beast Mastery hunters do less AOE damage but I haven't met the marks hunter that can out DPS me on a pure single-target boss. I will absolutely concede that marks is more the flavor of the month but don't let this deter you from taking other classes into dungeons. I routinely complete keys at the 20-21 level without difficulty.

You mostly want warriors to either be Arms ( Ravagar burst is more unique and will impact your group's strategies more ) or be able to switch between the two specs. Some dungeons at a high enough key will punish the Enrage damage taken increase badly.

If you bring a warrior, you want it arms.... otherwise dont bring a warrior and get a WW monk instead. The lack of defenses on fury comparatively makes it completely unjustified to bring a fury to a pug, ever. Arms has equal if not crazier burst on aoe, they do however fall down in consistent and 1target, so you would avoid them where those are the important aspects of a dungeon.

The premise was great and I hope to see it attempted again, but the analysis seems extremely shallow... those were the "best" choices, or just the most often seen? Feral or Rogue should appear in the utility section, nothing on Shammy anywhere, and the DPS section is void with the next patch. What you see here is the top damage options, and how they can fit into your other two sections; not the best choices for the latter two sections. try again, what this shows is Method's confirmation bias when conducting analysis... but again, the video idea was great!

i dont feel like boomkins are that good that this video makes then up to be, i find them equally useful as rogue and mage in my experiance. For example on a tryanical week id never take a boomie over another class wich is 50% of the case

Then you are a fool, a good boomkin can play the Dad build effectively( a new found mythic+ oriented talent+legendary setup) and push out very equal if not more single target damage by saving their Celestial Alignment CDs purely for bosses. Or proper pre-planning with their CD usage so they have it up for each boss. You are playing with bad/mediocre boomkin friends or have experienced subpar ones in your pugs if you genuinely think this spec is not one of the best in mythic plus. They have the feat of being near-immortal due to bearform weaving+boomkin's passive insane amount of armor. They have insane aoe sustained and burst damage if you play Sephuz+LATC legendary with SOTF talent, shooting stars and stellar drift. They have treants as a talent which literally nullifies necrotic for tanks on keys around the 20-25 mark. They have innervate which allows healers where otherwhise oom, or to conserve mana on tyrannical bosses(it also gives haste, aka easier to keep people topped). They have a consisent way of proccing sephuz (mass entanglement literally perfectly lines up with the sephuz cd so you can proc it OFF cd as you wish, and this can even be abused on a lot of bosses which spawn small adds during the encounter that you can just quickly mass entangle) Sorry again, why is boomkin not that good?

In my experiance mages does more dmg and sub ultility and they way the pair with afflocks (me) is perfect. People do that anyway, because most people that avidly run M+ know what classes are terrible for M+ and what classes are good. So, telling them to "not make videos like this" Doesn't help much. on a week like we have currently with Necrotic, I am not going to bring classes that don't have a mass tun and being able to slow mobs when I kite the mobs. Holy priests are the best healers for weeks like this too because of shining force and their leap of faith. It is kind of common sense to form a group that has proper utility and will help you complete the key LOL

fire mage is one of the best clases for mitic plus too, the problem is people only care about ilvl, and i do too when i go with randoms, coz none knows how too play the dungeons so i invite the more ilvl to make for the lack of mechanics with base hp and dmg
