I resonated so hard with those Pokemon takeaways. I don't know if it's the cynic in me or not, but I felt absolutely no joy watching that Pokemon Direct and felt a pit in my stomach saying "they really just don't know what to do with this franchise besides making the same games over again, huh?" Also, GOD, I hope NMH3 will be good. Even if it's not, I still appreciate Suda's games. He's out here making the stuff he wants to make and that's all I can ask for.

What Square Enix SHOULD do with Marvel is find an untapped property of theirs and blow it up the same way James Gunn did Guardians. Get a cast of actors on the same kind of level of fame as Until Dawn. Use their actual likenesses. Craft something that will be the definitive version of that property to anyone who sees it.

I’ve been saying that about Pokémon Legends for a while. This is not the game people have been wanting, but maybe a step to eventually getting there. The setting allows them to get away with not including a bunch of cities of figuring out how gyms would work in a potentially non linear setting, and just less assets in general. Probably going to be as boring as the wild areas in Sword and Shield
