I've been in MMA for 10 years, and I can assure you that these guys are properly trained in Martial Arts (unlike most fighting video hosts around). How could anyone tell? This short demonstation gives it away: 7:40 You see, the combination of speed and accuracy in these feint and blow are real. It takes practice to do that properly. agreed, though the acting is kinda overdoing it. The idiots here complaining apparently want to see someone really get knocked KO. I have a proposition for those people: go and ask someone to actually go full force on yourself with one of those punches or elbows. There is a reason that in most full contact sports people wear protective headgear. Getting knocked out always leaves some damage on the brain, however minor. Expecting someone to get himself knocked out just for your is kinda stupid.
@mtm04714 жыл бұрын
I was wondering where to hit, so i played it back at 0.25x speed. All of the punches were faked... there was too much space between the hand and the face to even scratch the face. Only the kicks were real, since they cant really be faked... This doesn't take away that they do know good technique.

It's awesome that you guys do it "in real time". Because we always see these self defence moves around youtube, but it's always slow motion, with the agressor standing there waiting for the "teacher" throw all his combinations at him, and we are kept wondering what it would be like, the mechanics and the speed per se. Even tho we know the guy is not getting hit, it's nice to see the moves in real time. Cheers from Brasil!

PhrontDoor you're not alone with the spew later lol. Back in 1989 I was outside a bar in Germany when a skinhead decided to slash me across the chest with a cut throat razor, luckily I reacted quickly and jumped back with my arms up as it went through my snow jacket, jumper and thermals but still got me good. My reaction jumping back included a stabbing punch to his eye with my thumb as my arms were coming back down (if that makes sense) POP! out it came and everyone just stopped ( lots of skinheads fighting people) about 10 seconds later I vomited on him laying there in agony with his eyeball dangling. Showed everyone I wasn't that tough and definitely added insult to his injury. Didn't feel great about it but 100% self defence

I really like Lex's joviality and eternal good humour but when you hear all the stuff about him dosing up for his body-building and then you see him pre-empting the strike and not actually taking it ... credibility goes out the window. Anyone with 2 minutes' experience would have told him to wear a mouth-guard for that elbow upper-cut. I get that the strikes would have an impact - but faking stuff only wins a certain type of audience over … usually not the type of audience who's ever actually going to put this stuff into practice. So you have to wonder whether he's really doing this stuff to teach people or whether it's just for show to appeal to couch-slobs to boost his KZbin ratings and revenue.

2 things they did you Never do in a fight . When throwing a punch, Never over extend your arm by leaning your upper torsel forward like they did, why? You lost all ability to defend yourself if you miss and put way too much weight forward. 2. Never leave your feet when throwing a punch, you lose all power of the punch from the legs and hips(big part of the power and reaction is from the legs). The best fighter have short compact and powerful swings by their legs and hip, to bring the arm back in position to make another shot is from the back /lat muscles. I promise you, the superman punch is so weak and wasteful, that a simple upper cut has 3x's the power and speed behind it.

My guess he wanted to look like a tuff guy in front of his friends and parents and got the shit knocked out of him. I hate actually physically hurting people, so knock out moves should be very helpful in my situation, so I can end the fight quicker, and no one is seriously hurt. Violence is not my favorite thing to take part in, but it sure is fun to watch :))))
