Now no one can EVER top MJ when it comes to dancing, but I will say Remember The Time is the only song/music video I can dance to because the choreography is so easy to learn. I've been dancing to it for several years now, so I pretty much know the whole routine, but all his other "short films/mini movies" I just watch because I know I cannot dance to those. 😭 Love MJ!!! ❤ #KingofPop #MichaelJackson

MJ's back-up dancers said it was difficult to keep up with him. Even his back-up singers tell the story of how he coached them so sing and pronounce things in certain ways. I saw a video of him in the engineer room and telling this guy how the beat had to be so that it wouldn't mess up the groove and fluidity of the song. To the naked eye and ear, his movements and singing may have seemed basic. But the technicalities in what he did are what set him apart from all the rest. In my opinion, his ABILITIES are extremely underrated. He changed his singing and dancing styles after his OFF THE WALL project, but if you go back and listen to his voice as a child, especially without the music, you would hear the rawness of his untrained voice and hear the runs and his vocal abilities.

Many of the dances he performed were dances created from the street of black dance culture and the hood, but he mastered and took them to another level. For instance the renamed moonwalk, was a break dancing move. But he mastered it wonderfully and brought them to the masses. And in Remember the Time, he's does the best "Bart Simpson" I've ever seen. That was a dance developed among young black dances, and it was wonderful how he incorporated them with such amazing style and smoothness. He was bad to the bone.

After some research, I found that Michael Jackson performed "Remember the Time" at the 1993 Soul Train Music Awards while seated on a throne due to a sprained ankle, not because he forgot the dance moves. On Jackson's Talent: Fred Astaire once said, "Oh, God! That boy moves in a very exceptional way. That’s the greatest dancer of the century."
@TrinNZАй бұрын
Right, what the channel is suggesting is that there is a theory he faked the sprained ankle to get out of performing the moves. Of course we will never know. It's hard to think of MJ not being confident in his moves, plus he had this ability to slip out of choreography and do his signature gestures and then be able to slip right back into the choreo so if he truly wasn't confident he could have just done his own thing, then moved right back into the choreo when he felt like it. This is discussed by the choreographer who worked with Michael on the Bad music video. I choose to believe the sprained ankle was legit.
