For those coming to the comment section saying "you don't need mods to hit the track" - I totally agree! Don't wait to go to the track "while you build your car". Just go and have a good time!

Fantastic advice and info! A solid "Stage Zero" and simple, purposeful mods are the greatest base to start with.

Absolutely! No need to overbuild - just go with what is meaningful!

Im looking at y38 brz frs diffs for my is300 auto, for the 4.1 and torsen. I do have a disability and its my daily driver. Do I Need solid rear subframe bushings or can i still run the old bushings. I still need to redo front suspension with oem. Have you also ever seen a left hand mounted handbrake anyone uses, thinking of handbrake solutions outside of buying a rhd car

The torsen diff will be a pain for drifting. I'd just weld the open diff if I were you. I would go for poly bushings over solid ones, but you could still use the OEM bushings as long as they're in good condition. I haven't seen a left hand mounted handbrake in a LHD car. Hydraulic handbrakes can easily be mounted wherever and the lines ran to them. I would think mounting it to the door somehow would probably be best, that way you don't have a handbrake in the way when you get in and out of the car. Or you could mount a "pull up" handbrake down low next to the seat, sort of like the original GT40 shifter location.

@@DoctoredGarage i have thought door and pull up next to seat. My latest idea was come through the driver side ac vent somehow. Like they do sometime with gauge pods. Thanks for the tips

You're welcome! The AC vent is a neat idea, hadnt thought of that!
