@@heylove582 It puts those brats rioting in the streets over "inequality" in perspective doesn't it? You can survive in this country without lifting a finger except to write " please help" on a scrap of cardboard and then just wait for the free money, free food, free aclohol and cigarettes to just rain down on you. I watched an 18 year old video game addict sit on the corner of 6th and pine playing games on his phone, never moving except to pee/poop in the alley or charge his phone at starbucks. By the end of every day with his sign he'd have piles of take out food, drinks, plus $$, drugs (tourists couldn't take their weed back with them,) and he ballooned from a normal looking kid into a "pavement whale" over the 4 years he sat there. And when his phone inevitably got stolen or broken, he'd just put it on the sign and he'd have a new one within days. THAT is how good we have it compared to places like DPRK, but the brats think they should have free apartments and $2K per month for nothing and free college and anyone who thinks otherwise should be silenced or jailed. They need to go live in a real socialist country like DPRK or Venezuela and see how they like socialism/communism. Don't let them back for 5 years,no matter how much they beg. When they finally come back in they will kiss the ground and never complain again.

The whole family would serve the congregation to a dinner at the church (it had a big kitchen) to thank them. My mother did all the cooking. I remember when I was moving away and living in an apartment for the first time. She was concerned that I didn't know how to cook. Hollywood movies have lost their relevance because they have stifled artistry by imposing its McCarthy-like pogrom against actors, writers and producers who cannot pass the progressive smell test. Hollywood today is the epitome of mediocrity. It is sad that their past success was a direct result of liberal values and diversity. Today though, they seem to be imposing a soviet style scrutiny/censorship on all filmography. The people have spoken by rejecting the Hollywood drivel for the past 20 years yet the so-called movers and shakers in that industry are too stupid to see through the radical misguided tint of their hate-filled progressive, me too, blm filters that regular hard-working people reject as value befitting of Satan rather than our mostly good nature.

Was it a shock how much freedom everyday Americans have? I can't imagine what it would be like to go from the most extreme oppressed society on the planet to the most free. Welcome to America 100% glad you became an American.

Yeonmi, first of all thank you for your videos! Would you perhaps consider doing a video on relationships in NK? In one vid you said there is no concept of romantic love, and I kept thinking about it since I saw it yesterday. While it seeems horrible, it's also quite fascinating to know how do people feel and express their emotions in such a culture. Lots of love from Poland!

I went to Blackheart Burlesque show for my birthday. The sensual dances and women loving their bodies with cute costumes playing on “nerdy gamer” themes! I would definitely recommend a burlesque show to dip your toe into that area of things especially with some girlfriends to go cheer those beautiful women on!

This doesn't relate to the video but have you ever heard/seen the pagoda that the South Korean embassy built right next to where once the Berlin Wall was? The sign next to it explains that they hope that North and South Korea will peacefully rejoin again as West Germany and East Germany did in 1989. I really hope that one day your people can achieve this goal although it unfortunately seems like it won't happen anytime soon. I really like your videos. Keep up the good work and enjoy your life to the fullest :3

I can understand that a lot of the superhero movies seem similar. They have already been through the hero’s journey at that point, and if you are not a fan of the comic, you’ll miss a lot of the backstory. Some fun, quirky movies I fondly remember from the 2000s are- Be Kind Rewind, Bubble Boy, Napoleon Dynamite, The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, and Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. And if you haven’t seem the Princess Bride, I think you will really enjoy it. That one is from the 80’s and has stood the test of time. There are so many good movies, but you have to start somewhere. ;)

I love your videos. So informative. And as my Great Gramma was Jewish in world war 2 its like "wow that's what could have been for my ancestors" when ya talk about the Kims. Oh and don't feel bad ya aren't all up on pop culture. I'm in Canada (the closest culturally to the USA probably) and even I cannot keep up with the celebrity gossip. Not that I really care to. Also, I was raised by Gramma. Recipes are guides meant to be wandered off from. She may use a recipe for a flavor idea, and then she adds this and that. Skips some stuff. And makes it 100x better then the book.
