I can look at countries like NK and say, wow they have it worse than us, or I can look at higher ranked countries where people are not bankrupted to get medical treatment and say , wow, they have it better than us. I can do both of these at the same time. Even if your view your country as the best in the world, life can always be better, and we should never stop striving for that. One walked (on foot, no exaggeration) from Vietnam, through Khmer Rouge controlled Cambodia (he had some close calls), to Thailand, and made it here. Other friends got on a boat going into the open sea, risking robbery, rape, and murder from pirates, with the hope of being rescued (not die of starvation, dehydration, or murder) and somehow making it here. My own ancestors didn't have it quite so tough, but there was still risk. Taking a slow boat from China to Hawaii in 1860 was a risky trip. (Granted, not US yet, but still ...)

@Daniel Reierson I think you're right since the "republicans" control every major institution in the country. It's not like capitalism allows someone born in poverty to die a millionaire IF EARNED. I saw a special report decades a go that said subsidies are the the reason some farmers go out of business AND why all food costs more. It also said that when New Zealand abolished its subsidies to farmers, the food supply QUADRUPLED!
@wordragon4 жыл бұрын
Every state has many programs to feed the poor and children. Unfortunately, many parents choose drugs or alcohol over their children’s health. I witnessed this working with a food distribution agency. The sad truth is that if children are going hungry in the US, it is because their parents have put something else as a priority above their children. There is an actual over abundance of food and money programs for poor people in the US. I find it interesting that people actually blame one side or the other politically. Both sides bend over backward to vote to create programs to feed children and the poor. The only difference I saw politically was that Democrats don’t really care about fraud in the system. They think it is an unfortunate byproduct. Republicans want fair oversight to make sure there is little fraud.
@wordragon4 жыл бұрын
Daniel Reierson -Yes, Daniel. Not every person who doesn't seem to agree with you is incapable of intelligent analysis. I will leave you with some well known concepts based on many people's experiences passed to me, then I am moving on: at some point in a person's life, no matter their earlier circumstances (victimization) they have to recognize and take responsibility for their choices and claim their personhood as an adult for the good of themselves and their children or their status as a victimizer outweighs the status as a victim. Our society has enough safety netting to allow each person to do this at the very least by young adulthood. And, I shouldn't have to qualify what I am saying based on my earlier comment, but I am not speaking of people who have serious mental illness. I am speaking of people who are capable of functioning in society, and have become victimizers. And, it doesn't help to pretend people don't have this incredible access to aid and therapy like many politicians do for some sort of gain. If anything at a societal level it exacerbates the notion that staying in that victim state relieves a person of their now victimizer behavior when the very normal emotional mechanisms of guilt or shame are removed which are the usual motivations to personally change.

Nowadays everyone that's slightly left of center is called a communist in your lovely country because of all the brainwashing and propaganda that was fed into the people during the cold war. It's a shame because it whitewashes what communism was and it spits into what the victims of communism went through. How old are you sir, I am almost 32, I would love if we could have the opportunity to discuss all these in front of a cup of coffee, like people not animals. Putin will always support NK dictators. So no Americans can be on the border with Russia.

Israel is as free as America, you're right about that - so long as you're born on the "free" side of the ghetto wall.

What Israel? We only know Palestine!
@dmitryaleskivic33783 жыл бұрын
@@AyezalKhan123 Palestine and Israel is literaly referring to the same piece of land. It's 2 different languages. Palestine is the Roman-given colonial name that local arabs and today Palestinians adopted. Israel is its orginal native name. Thats the only difference.

Wash the rice till it’s clear...not milky... Enjoy Fresh Fruit and Veggies, but wash first. Sunlight Dish soap is the best for everything, including earwigs, bugs etc. xo Canadian Mom 🇨🇦🐢❤️ I have Lupus... I’m so Lucky to be in Canada. I’ve been a Host Mom to 25 International Students and have cooked many different types of Rice... Best to rinse them all in water first to be safe... Even Fruit and veggies...

Uhhh...REALLY?! Rice-cooking advice, from a White Canadian, to a native Korean? Did you write material, for Monty Python?
