I picked up a necromantic box last month, was pleasantly surprised when I decimated an orc team first time. I'm used to playing stunty teams so having an expendable player like zombies is a great boon, even more so given that they regenerate 😁

Quite surprised that elven union is not on the list. The box comes with all positional you need on the typical starting rosters and you can easily 'promote' two of the linos to catchers once you can afford them.

The fact that Necro and Undead are both 14 players in a box is such a big plus. You get most/all the positionals you need. Compare that with flings and goblins where for the same price you get 12 linesmen... its a bit embarrassing for those teams really.

OMG the zombies were a pain!! The wraiths I found okay to build, but fantastic models as well! definitely #1 box!

The death roller not being in the dwarf box is fine. I basically never use it now unless I can induce one along with bribes, I'll be using it even less when it is nerfed. Dwarf strength lies in their skills, not their stats (other than AV, I suppose). The raw strength is not needed for dwarfs to be effective, you've got players that start with dauntless as it is and you build up a big stack of guard in just a few games.

Hey Ryan! I think it's a great box!! All you need to do is add the Yeti 😁 The Ulfs are a little small, and there's a lot of detail on the minis, but overall - really fun team and a really great box!! What do you reckon??

Loving it - combine with a Reaper Miniatures yeti for $5 and you've got an incredibly cheap tier 1 team.

I'm a little surprised Skaven didn't make either list. Sure, a second box is a must, and probably pretty quickly, but 2 Gutters, Blitzers and Throwers, 6 LineRats, 3 ReRolls and 3 Fans is a pretty sound start for a Skaven team that can really explode if they themselves don't... Well, explode.

You’re not wrong Nathan!! They’ll do just fine with that roster - But with Skaven I think that’s their 3rd best list, after 4 Gutters, or 2 & a Rogre! And yknow… I would’ve got called out for favouritism, yes-yes!!

Human team box have the same issue than the dark elf one : you would never start a new team with only two blitzers without the limitation from the team box itself.

Yeah, as a Chosen fan, I was sad they didn’t make top 5, but I can’t disagree with your reasoning. The big guy is what you play towards, and they are rather bland to start.
