Ina May's book is amazing and helped me realize that our bodies are meant to do this. Your channel has been a GODSEND for me and my husband. Especially during this COVID-19 time when all the classes are cancelled. THANK YOU for this channel and all your hard work:) We appreciate it!!!

Ina May's is such a great book to read. Really teaches you that the body was made for this and that labor shouldn't be feared! Thank you for sharing some awesome education. I am a mommy channel myself, I love talking about motherhood although I do more comical side of mom life, less serious! Thank you!

YES! 🙌🏽 Ina May's Guide to Childbirth, amazing book, highly recommended; still have it in my book library. Ina May is such an inspiration. I also recommend "The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding" for mommies preparing to breastfeed. amzn.to/37QrRLH As a lactation consultant and nurse, I see parents worried about the lack of reliable information out there. These books will definitely give peace of mind and build confidence to the life-changing experience mommies and partners are about to embark on.

Love, love your list! I read several of these when I was certifying through DONA last year and really loved them. Currently reading Ina May's book right now as we prepare for our 3rd homebirth in just a couple months!

If you haven’t read “Baby Catcher” by Peggy Vincent, you must!!! It’s for mamas, Doulas, midwives, partners and everyone in between. I HIGHLY recommend listening to it as the narrator is perfect and really gives the whole book a warm, “your best friend telling you a story kind of vibe.” If you are a mama considering your options during this pandemic, THIS IS FOR YOU. Or if you are already set on your birth plan decisions, this is still a great read. Audible has it and has so many stellar reviews. An inspiring collection of birth stories by a charming midwife. Each time she knelt to “catch” another wriggling baby-nearly three thousand times during her remarkable career-California midwife Peggy Vincent paid homage to the moment when pain bows to joy and the world makes way for one more. With every birth, she encounters another woman-turned-goddess: Catherine rides out her labor in a car careening down a mountain road. Sofia spends hers trying to keep her hyper doctor-father from burning down the house. Susannah gives birth so quietly that neither husband nor midwife notice until there's a baby in the room. More than a collection of birth stories, however, Baby Catcher is a provocative account of the difficulties that midwives face in the United States. With vivid portraits of courage, perseverance, and love, this is an impassioned call to rethink technological hospital births in favor of more individualized and profound experiences in which mothers and fathers take center stage in the timeless drama of birth. sanfranciscobookreview.com/11816-2/

I’m not sure if you already have a video of this or not, but I’m due on a few months & I’ll be getting induced early due to diabetes. I am really really looking forward to having a super natural birth, but I’ve heard a lot where pain is a lot more worse/painful when being induced than normally getting into labor. So with that being said it’ll be harder to have a natural birth. If you could make a video on tips to have a natural birth while being induced or ladies that have stories that have done so would be so amazing!!!!! & thank you for all your helpful videos 💞

My husband has been reading The Birth Partner suggested by a midwife at our OB's practice. It has definitely helped us talk about the unknowns of the birth experience as well as what he can do to support me during labor. We've also practiced some of the positions suggested and already have some that we think might be more beneficial to me than others. We don't have our birth story yet, but have been feeling more and more prepared for our due date (July 7!). Just wanted to give his opinion that it's a book that's worth it, too!

@@PrenatalYini do you know which one of these books has the most effective techniques in it for the birthing mother to get through contractions. I really want to start practicing for my birth and while I'd love to purchase all the books I need to start with the one that's going to help me to put strategies on place immediately so I know how to cope ...any day now! Bridget's channel is great but which book is the best for what im looking for? I'm guessing Ina Mays? I already have the setup I want all planned out with my own midwife so I have that part covered already. Im having a dimly lit room with a bath and only my partner and midwife present. No interventions unless nescessary. Natural pain relief options only including water birth if it's possible. Thanks for any advice

I am new to your channel and love how much information you put in your videos. You can tell you have prepared for the video and are knowledgeable! I have read Happiest Baby on the Block, the 5s book, I found this so helpful and borrowed it from my library. If others want to read I would suggest borrowing because there are A LOT of side stories and research on the topics of colic and fourth trimester. So if you want just the nitty gritty borrow the book and make notes for yourself like I did!

I am interested in books that talks about situations where pregnancy can go south so I can prepare and understand what is happening. My girlfriend lost a lot of blood too quickly and almost passed. So I’d like to hear some honest situations and issues that can arise during the birth.
