Hey folks! There is a correction that I needed to point out. Thank you Spencer for pointing that out. It is not my intention to make this mistake, but it is a sub brand that I’ve not worked on for many years. Bulova sister brand is not called Pulsar, but it’s called Caravelle.

In your professional opinion which watch brand/watch movement is easiest to find parts for. Looking into buying something vintage and something not such a headache to find parts. Love your content look forward to learning more and vintage and it restoration vids.
@TimelessHistoryChannel3 жыл бұрын
@@vicenteg1990 Honestly, it will depends on what sort of parts your watch maker has available. If you are uncertain, best to stick to cheaper vintage watches as parts will be less expensive to obtain. If you are looking for higher end watches, I personally would say vintage Omega.

I fuully accept your apology. Doxa is old and big brand,but I was suprised not to mention Graphic, which is perhaps one of the most important important model of this brand. Bauhaus design, beautiful and special. A lot of praise in the work and i gladly follow your comments which is great. Many greetings

Sometime it is important for the individual to do some research on their own first prior to buying anything. So knowing Doxa in the list and if the individual likes the brand he/she can do some more research about it. Learn about their movements and the models before finalizing their decision.

Great series so far. It's nice to know what dealers think of brands. Your subscriptions seem to be growing. Which imho is well deserved. I wonder whether in the future it might be cool to compare modern and vintage versions of the same model for example 41mm connie with vintage pie pan. Just a thought.

Probably not this edition from nearly 10 years ago. Plus such a book is only good to study images and read a little bit about the watch. Can’t really follow count on the price guide. I bought this one from Chapters.

@TimelessHistoryChannel3 жыл бұрын
This maybe a very difficult topic to do. You will most likely find Franken pieces for every quality made brand names out there. Which is why no one should rush into buying a vintage or modern watch. Study the brand that you are interested and then break down the brand and focus on a particular model that you like from that brand. Learn everything about that model before you even go out shopping for one. knowledge is key. Maybe you should watch this video I made: kzbin.info/www/bejne/poiZpn6PqqiegMU

One correction... you said that Pulsar is Bulova's sister brand- that's incorrect. Pulsar is one of Seiko's budget brands, and the name was originally used by Hamilton for their LED watches. Pulsar has no connection with Bulova as far as I know. Maybe you were thinking of Caravelle, which is Bulova's budget brand.
@TimelessHistoryChannel3 жыл бұрын
Haha. Yes yes! You are absolutely correct! Thank you so much for the correction. I used to work at a watch retailer over 20 years ago. The store I worked for used to carry many brands from the Japanese, American and Swiss market. From low budget watches to high end Mont Blanc. Let me pin this correction on the comment section before someone else correct me again. 😆 Highly appreciated
