Super important bit on Salter if you wanna farm. You’ll either need NP2 or get np1 to bond 10. Without the coins she can’t get her starting battery append, making her unable to loop with double Koyan Oberon.

I went with Salter because her Costume Dress has been burning a hole in my inventory for a while now, and with Jalter's outfit coming to Crane's workshop I can have both of the Shinjuku girls in their casual outfits. Nice to hear she's getting a huge buff though.

If you're gonna recommend attrition playstyles as the argument for Barghest, I'd argue this is actually the reason every new player should pick Edison. You can trivialize so many boss fights in general with Edison Mash because of the combined defense up and attack debuff those two provide, especially when supplemented by Edison's overcharge skill. Also this wasn't something he needed his buffs for. He was always incredible at stalling boss fights to death (I literally used him to beat max Tokugawa Kama as an example), so his buffs if anything just make him absurd in general. Furthermore as an Arc 1 servant, his material requirements are obviously going to be less difficult to farm than Barghest's. As for me I just lazily got a 5th copy of Caenis since I already have Edison, Salter, and Barghest at NP5. But real talk, Edison is pretty easily the best choice for newer players. Defensive Arts DPSes are just absurd value when you consider how many good f2p Arts supports there are in general and are probably the best overall investment for farming Lores from event CQs.

I picked Edison because I like his boisterous personality but it's nice to be vindicated as a new player. I was lucky enough to get NP 2 Barghest from the Altria Caster banner so I'm all ready to claw my way through the remaining Lostbelts.

I ended up deciding on Medea Lily since I didn’t have her yet, shes story locked, and she has only one more banner later this year then no additional ones so far for JP. I was going to get an additional copy of Salter, but she’s already NP2 and I fully plan on rolling for her to get NP5 on her next banner forever from now.

I chose astrea. First she's incredible as a unit. Np 4 meaning one spook and she will be perfect for solo clears. If i didn't pick her. I would have chosen barghest for np 5. Sith for np 3. Helena for np 5

I ended up picking up NP1 Faker just to have an offensive Pretender in the roster. I know Loli Elly is coming later, but they do different things. The only other one I was considering was Salter NP4, but for the most part NP3 should be fine and I felt the lower diminishing returns increase from 3-4 wasn't necessarily worth a one time resource. Plus having more bodies is going to be useful for *that* fight in the future.

I was going to pick Baobahn sith, but they put up the banner for her so I gambled 50$ don't advise but I got her FINALLY and with her obtained my sr ticket was free so I looked up and down the list and went with bone of my sword and picked Zenobia not just cause waifu reasons but double castoria farming even at np1.

I'd argue he's actually by far the best pick from SR ticket selections **especially** if your account is new. A lot of CQ/story bosses are drastically easier to clear consistently when you have a Defensive Arts DPS to pair with Mash, and both his skills/NP synergize especially well with her.

I've already got all the others mentioned in this vid except Edison and Demiya, and am not really interested in either.

As much as i wanted to get my second copy of Gorgon, i ended up choosing Faker instead. I remembered Gorgon would appear during the Mystic eyes event in which i will be rolling for Saber Medusa. So that left me with Faker who is a pretender class that i wouldnt ever really roll for, surprisingly, it was worth it.

I went with Hephaistion because I looked at who all was available, and who all I already had. It basically came down as a choice of “who do I not have, and who would fill a Role I don’t currently have.” Example for reference, I seriously considered Percival because he looks like so much damn fun… but I already have Lambdaryllis NP5 and her Skills 10/6/10 (middle skill gained nothing from higher levels besides CD reduction and with her as strong as she is, no fight goes beyond turn 3 unless I royally mess up) so in his and other cases, I didn’t see the point of spec’ing into a Role someone else already filled. The only other one to come close was Barghest because mine is NP4, but in the decision of “get new Servant” vs “improve a little bit more on another” well. Hephaistion won. Yet I suspect I have not seen the last of Barghest…

I respect the top 6 choices, but I still picked the GOAT - Yagyu Tajima-no-Kami Munenori. He's done a ton of heavy-lifting for me in some incredibly clutch moments, and I was one copy away from NP5. There wasn't anything I really needed, so it was down to what I wanted, and that's what I wanted most.

Yagyu imo is also one of the better picks, kinda unfortunate he wasn't mentioned. He has great value at NP1 both due to being Arts and also thanks to the huge numbers on his Atk debuffs which can be a lifesaver against bosses with buff removal.

@@A2ZOMG It's probably because all of his skills only last one turn and if you want an ST Arts Saber, then Lancelot is better with a crit setup. But Yagyu's done a ton of work for me over my account's lifespan, and his his NP gain makes him fantastic at dealing with break gauge bosses honestly.

@@ProfWeeb248 I look at Yagyu's skills as basically a means to loop his Atk debuffs, so the actual value you get out of them persists an extremely long time when it means facetanking NPs and crits for multiple turns (which means your lineup is also getting more opportunities to NP and repeat the process). Especially at NP1, your concern really isn't dealing more damage, but rather not getting blown up over time.

@@A2ZOMG Yeah it's why I like Yagyu. His attack debuffing combined with his ability to NP loop pretty effectively means that he makes your whole team pretty damn tanky since the enemy is doing less damage overall. He's a ton of fun to use, and I love him a lot.

If you already have AOE Buster Saber, then I would recommend picking Ash. But, if you don't have a useful AOE Buster Saber, then go for Salter since she doesn't have a rate-up banner any time soon.

new player here I really don't understand all this looping farming stuff yet....I just started 6th singularity I'm at lvl 97 I wanted to pick up either Gorgon or saber alter since I already have normal altoria who is also an aoe buster saber I figured I'd go with gorgon since I don't have a an avenger or a ruler and she is story locked and I wanted to have all the medusa and gorgon sisters and now this video telling me not to pick her....is she bad or something?

Outside of the future Saber Medusa, her variants tend to be pretty mediocre or one dimensional gameplay-wise. Gorgon specifically needs a lot of babysitting and generally accomplishes less than comparable alternatives even with that support.
