Jeff, I'm glad you posted this. I have been watching your videos for years, but living on the east coast in a non-gold bearing area I haven't really made any steps besides buying a gold pan. I like the idea of gold mining. I could easily spend months living in a tent getting up every day to pan, run a dredge, swing a sledge, etc., but I'm not so hot on a lot of the pre-mining(scouring the USGS, filing claims, etc.) or just going out west by myself not having any real idea what I'm doing. I think next season I'm going to join the New '49ers and get some actual experience.

Unlike a lot of people I watch both Saturdays and Sundays videos on Sunday, so I can watch them back to back. Only due to not getting enough when viewing separately. However, this day started out with me waking to watch Alan Ladd and Ernest Borgnine in Badlanders. Now that is a good look at what mining would have looked like back in the day. Not a bad perspective for being a Hollywood movie if I do say so myself. Watching the movie I kept thinking about some of your videos giving us descriptions about mining back then. It kind of brought it full circle if you will. Thanks for the Hard work and Knowledge you bring to each and every video Jeff! GREAT ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS @deanweber4370!! Jeff… ITS BIGFOOT!!! OMG!!😮 Scrub the video back and there’s nothing there!!! Frame-by-frame it forward and it’s limbs are not completely, well umm, “there.” Did u hear any weird noises? See any tracks? Feel like u were being watched?/Hunted? Smell an indescribably horrid odor? Drop dead silence in the area? I had almost identical experience w/a friend at Hocking Hills State Park in my state and we had to leave because my friend LOST HER MIND!! I was ticked at whatever was tracking and hunting us because I wanted to stay and look for more gold and minerals! In my profession as an animal behaviorist specializing in violent animal aggression & rehab, it takes more than that to scare me. Big foot and all. My poor friend?? Oh no, no, thought I was going to have to call for a med evac!! Needed to get her out of there sooner than immediately!! Lol. A week later, when my friend “recovered,” I Gave her some of the minerals and gold out of my backyard, and a card that said, “I’m so sorry our relaxing day trip turned into a “wilderness survival” trip. I’m very very glad ur ok!! Please accept these gifts [gems and gold] as a thank u for not having to make me call ur husband and kids to explain why we ended up in the ER w/u. And know that these thank you’s won’t remind u of being hunted by big foot, but that that’s what friends r here for…. to save ur a*s from big foot! 😁..” Jeff, I’d be happy to help do the same for u and the Mrs’ 😂
