To all you people who are about to rage about how he missed Sudowoodo, read this first and see that Sudowoodo's typing, design, and name are all purposefully and quite cleverly done. Sudowoodo is a pure rock type that makes itself look like a tree so you would mistake it for a grass type and use moves like flying, fire, and poison, all things it resists. It doesn't want an enemy trainer going anywhere near it with water type or grass type moves, so it makes you think its a tree (typically a grass type) to confuse you purposefully. Even its name says that. Sudowoodo is a play on the phrase pseudo wood, or fake wood, which is typically used to describe a piece of furniture that looks like its made of wood but really isn't. In Sudowoodo's case it means fake wood, as in not actually wood as in not actually a tree as in not actually a grass type. Its all pretty clever if you think about it.

It also makes sense from a biological point of view when you look at petrified wood. Sort of like a plant fossil, the organic material in the tree dissolves and becomes replaced by other minerals, essentially creating a tree that is completely made of what we would classify as rock or stone. Sudowoodo could very well have undergone that process himself.

Here's my opinion: 1. *Spiritomb* is Dark/Ghost, it must be ROCK/Ghost. I know it learns a lot of dark type moves, but hey does that even matter??I've never considered a pokemon's movepool to be a criterion for it's typing. For me, the design is the primary criterion. It's literally a pokemon that emerges from a rock! 2. *Flygon* is Ground/Dragon, it must be BUG/Dragon. C'mon, Flygon screams Bug!!!! It's entire evolutionary line must be retyped like Trapinch (Bug/Ground) to Vibrava (Bug/Ground) (why the hell vibrava is a dragon???) to Flygon (Bug/Dragon). If this happens Dragon type would be the third type to be paired with all other types after Water and Flying. 3. *Rayquaza* is Dragon/Flying, it must become pure DRAGON. According to me, Only pokemons with Wings or Wing like appendages can be sorted as flying types. So, Both Rayquaza and it's mega must become pure dragons and yes! its signature move must also become a dragon type move! 4. *Mega Absol* is pure dark, it must become dark/FAIRY. C'mon! Mega Absol screams FAIRYYY!!! 5. *Mawile* and its mega are steel/fairy, they must be DARK/fairy. They look dark! :3 6. *Primal Kyogre* is pure water, I want it to become water/FLYING. Primar Groundon gains fire type upon reverting, I want this to happen for kyogre too and taking into account the fact that Primal Kyogre can fly! 7. *Bewear* is Normal/Fighting, I want it to be FAIRY/Fighting. It's normal type must be replaced with fairy after evolving from Sutfful. 8. *Salazzle* is Poison/Fire, I want it to be Poison/DRAGON. It looks like a dragon to me :3 That's it.

Altaria is better off with dragon typing tbh. Agree on dragon, it looks like a bird-dragon hybrid (it learns even dragon rush) but water nope. It is the personifications of storms. So yeah storms occurs also in the sea, but: storms are caused by the wind, not by water itself. Lugia controls storms by the wind, it hasn't actually a control on water itself. That's why it has all that wind based moves (aeroblast, gust, whirlwind, hurricane etc)

I have to agree with you on many points, especially psyduck and golduck (OH MY GOD, COME ON GAME FREAK). However as for Lugia. I feel that all legendaries are special and different that way. LUGIA I feel is awesome. I feel it to be way more like dragon, flying, psychic (since it talks to Ash in the anime), and it can learn charge beam. We also need to keep in mind that the games are limited to a maximum of 2 types. Take Xerneas for example too. It's only a fairy type, however it learn electric, grass and obviously fairy type. That's it. Good video dude.

Initially, I disliked the fact that Mega Gyarados was Water-Dark, but then I learned of its original design. In the Anime, Misty has a dream where she sees a giant large-finned Pokémon’s silhouette off in the distance. The fin in the dream is the exact same as Mega Gyarados’ fin. The fact that it was a Silhouette is responsible for the mysterious Dark typing.

There are many mistyped pokémon throughout all generations. Let's name a few: Butterfree: Bug and Flying: it doesn't even learn flying moves (I can think off). It should be a Bug Psychic type because of its movepool. Pikachu evo line: It should have gotten the Fairy type in Gen6 because of it's egg group Venomoth: Same as Butterfree, but a pokémon cannot have three types unfortunately Noctowl: Should be a Psychic Flying type. Sudowoodoo: Should be a Rock Grass Type (because it's a f*cking tree!?) Misdreavius and Mismagius: Should have gotten the Fairy Ghost type. Dunsparce: Why not give it a ground type, it likes to dig? Granbull: Why not giving it the Fighting or Dark type next to it's Fairy type? Ursaring: Why not giving him the Fighting Normal type? Spinda: Shouldn't it have Normal Psychic? I think that there should be a battle mode. Where Pokemon that should have 3 types do, and you can only use those Pokemon. Doubles and singles. I know it'd be alot of effort for just a battle type, but I think it'd be a fun way to explore the idea without having to rework the entire format of the game. Cause there's some Pokemon that make some real strong cases for having 3 types. Empoleon could be water steel ice. Gengar poison dark ghost. Mudfisk should be electric ground water. I personally would enjoy it at least

I feel that they made Drapion Poison/Dark because they wanted it to be more useful since it's only weakness is ground. Taking away bug took away it's weaknesses to rock, psychic, and fire, while the poison nullified darks weakness to fighting.
