Self discipline is so hard, but i find when i want something i know i don't need or is "bad" for me if i do something else like work, do crafts, or watch a show or movie i forget all about it and i don't want it anymore. The distraction is good.

I tried to do the distraction method but I struggle with that too. If I’m “craving” something and I have it in house , it plagues my mind until I get it. I try to do busy work , sometimes it works , but more often than not , it doesn’t.

I agree. I work out with glow with jo, my goal is every day but I didn't 4 days and ate whole foods I dropped 12 lbs!!! Drink your water eat real food. Thank you Mish! I love your realistic tips. And your recipes are great.

I been called shrek respuchia big after I had my daughter. She passed away 3 days after birth and I had to plan a funeral deal with postpartum depression and grief. I couldn't find myself getting up and going to the gym. Almost 2 years later Im feeling motivated to lose weight. something that may help is buying partially prepped whole foods from the store it may cost more though but maybe instead of raw rice that takes 20 minutes grab microwaveable rice with good ingredients (rare find but they’re there). big thing that helped me was most of those plastic bag of veggies we get from the produce section (not the freezer) are microwaveable as well i toss them in for a few minutes then season them after. that’s already two sides done in the microwave less than ten minutes all you need now is protein!

There are so many “prepared” foods that are healthier choices that you can use until you are ready to start cooking more. It’s like cheating but you’re still meeting your goals. I used tik tok for inspo on things to buy. You don’t have to cook every meal to still eat healthy, I wish you the best ❤❤❤

Another thing about gaining or reinstatement of self discipline through weight loss/working out is that your tolerance for bullshyt becomes ultra thin. Because you have a certain standard to meet in your journey, the bandwidth for things that dont help meet that goal become increasingly less important. Great content 👌🏾

I’m just starting my journey again. Thank you for your advice and support. I also bought the cook book and I’m excited! I struggle with knowing what a healthy lifestyle looks like. I grew up in a household where we ate out a lot and when we cooked they weren’t healthy meals… they were good but weren’t healthy. A lot of my family is heavier and I’ve been plus size my entire life. I am really looking for a lifestyle change. I’ve tried so many different ways and quick fixes that worked but weren’t sustainable. I am currently looking forward to taking the steps to actually change and make it permanent.

I have been struggling to lose weight for years. My weight goes up and down. I lost weight pre pandemic and i was vegan for 3 years. I started eating plant based strickly then start eating the process meats. I did lose weight plant based whole foods. But once i started eating the processed meats i gain weight. 7 months ago I started high protein low carb alkaline. But I got tired of eating salad every single day for lunch. And then meal prepping and taking pictures of all my food it was just a lot to lose the weight but I did lose weight I went down to $168 lb and when I first started I was 200 lb. Now I'm 205 lbs after going through a recent loss a lost both my biological dad and adoptive dad 2 weeks from each other in March from the same cancer so I've been struggling ever since. Glad I came across this video.

I’m just starting my journey to eating whole food meals. At first I was like idk what to cook, and I don’t want to make the same food everyday. But I realized, I damn near eat the same 3 or 4 fast foods alll the time. So pick 3 or 4 whole food meals and eat that- you don’t complain no other time!!

Don’t forget stress can stop you from losing weight too. I would clean up your diet a little more and pay attention to how your body reacts to the foods you eat. Your body will tell you what isn’t for you !

You're meals look so delicious the one reason I have never succeeded at loosing weight keeping it off is I don't know how to eat healthy or prepare healthy meals coming from the south raised on fatty fried meals and then eating out fast food most of my adult life great tips definitely takes a lot of discipline and motivation people will try and sabotage you best not tell anyone you're goals people sadly don't like to see people prosper better themselves.

I do have a question for all the moms out here where your stomach is not matching the rest of your body/ While doing core exercises should I have a waist trainer on to help engage better? Also, how long did it take for your stomach to start sinking in. I’m in a calorie deficit. I’m Indian and I cook a lot of keto kababs with fermented vegetables and protein shakes. I lift 4-6x a week and cardio. I lost 48 lbs so far I have 20lbs to go mainly my stomach I stretched out. And my stomach is still out every after having my son 12 years ago😂 I need help fr.😂😂 I love your videos ❤

It doesn’t matter what time you eat. The only thing that matters is if you’re in a calorie deficit. If you’re not losing weight, and if you’re stressing, that can be the reason of it or you’re just not in a big enough calorie deficit.

You can add 1) taking an early morning 45 minute walk while making calls or listening to a podcast . 2) Eat veggies or a small salad before eating your main meal. 3) Get enough sleep 4) Drink enough water (at least 2.5 kg) 5) walking or dancing for 10 mins after each meal.
