Good video. I had a 360 and took it on vacation. The rollover valves on the fuel tank dried out and cracked, dripped fuel on the exhaust manifold and caught fire at a gas station while filling up. We emptied a few extinguishers in the bay and I called my service advisor. He told me what to look for - had to clean it all up, was a total mess. But we salvaged the weekend and had it fixed when we got home!

I sold that one in December of 2014 to a friend. It was my first and I won't forget it. Thanks to KZbin videos like this, I started longing for another and just struck a deal on a Spider today :)

When I first started working on Ferrari in the late eighties, I was initially appalled at the finish to structure and mechanical areas not to mention interior. But I soon respected the man made concept and come to love their faults and build quality. Having said that they grow on you with a passion. When used as a daily runner you soon find little nuisances and larger problems, but many are bought on by rough and careless driving, lack of quality maintenance and applicable wisdom pertaining to owning and driving a supercar or exotic anything.

For sure, it is the Italian car imperfections that give it character, good or bad

Rough careless driving? It’s a race car.. meant to be raced!!

Good commentary and valuable knowledge, alot of other ferrari owners ramble on but area'nt specific about real maintenence costs and some others over spend. Keep up the good work.

I would venture to guess that very few who own a 348 or 355 do the engine out every two years. Most people I know, as well as myself, do it every 5 years.

308 and 328 don't need engine out. Also belts are 3 years for OEM, 5 for MH kevler.

Nice video. Love these cars but the service costs are prohibitive for me. Ended up getting a Viper. American parts, and labor costs.

I owned a Viper ACR, & it’s actually cheaper to maintain my 360 Modena

POS review. This car is known for having great brakes. Any car will burn if there is a fuel leak and plenty of other cars have. The battery? Who gives a crap about the battery placement? Has this guy ever owned or even driven this car? My five things (as an owner) are: 1). It’s the best sounding car I have ever ridden in. 2). It has great brakes and steering. 3). It is surprisingly comfortable and drivable even on long trips. 4). It’s not the fastest car out there but with a top speed of around 180, it’s no slouch. 5). Especially with a manual transmission, it is one of the most engaging cars you can drive. Not sterile. Not synthetic.

Hi, Yes I have driven these cars and I do actually like the 360. It looks great, sounds great, and has solid performance. Tgat being said, the 430 was much improved for performance, maintainability, reliabiity, and the list goes on.

yes the 430 does just about everything better...... except looks! 360 looks better!

Progress moves forward. Of course a newer anything in an automaker’s portfolio is going to be better than the older one. But these cars tend to be bought with the heart, not the head. Which is why when the thrill is gone, they’re rotated out for the latest. The newest 360 is almost 15 years old, so buy with your head, enjoy it for what it is.

Hi Mark. How is the 360 driving experience compared to the E60 M5. I have always longed for a Ferrari.
@ECPP6 жыл бұрын
Quite different as both brands create cars with a different feel and one is more "spot" while the other is more "sport touring". I love any Ferrari and this one is no different as it sits lower, vibrates in your back when running, much more agile especially at lower speeds, but the the M5 has much more grunt. Overall the M5 is faster, brakes harder, handles better particularly at higher speeds and first thing you will notice the Ferrari is lacking the torque. The 360 is like a nervous mountain lion while the M5 is like a pissed off pitbull dog terrier when in M mode. Both cars feels fragile but the Ferrari even more so which is typical of most Italian exotics.

I am shocked that the car has weak brakes !! A Ferrari !! Were they improved with the intro of the 430 ?? Anyone owning a Ferrari should be able to drive in some track events during the year with no issues as I do with my 2006 911 which has extremely reliable !

Russell DeJulio ... It doesn’t have weak brakes. I own one now and it is my second 360. This is a POS review. This car is known for having great brakes. Ferrari's burn. Porsche's Burn. Afla's Burn. Hell my old Nissan 300ZX nearly burned. There is ALWAYS a risk of a fuel link on a poorly maintained car OR a car that's not been driven regularly, leaving the rubbers to dry out and crack. To quote the Joker then....EVERYTHING BURNS :D

How can getting the battery polarity wrong or over charging it be a problem with the car? Problem with dim witted owner. The brakes are great for the road. Are we testing race cars now? Bullshit.
