He's such a beautitul drummer who deserves a major gig. I'd love to see Rob in a top situation. No one inspires me like this man

If you are planning to teach: 1.) prepare to be used as a babysitter. There will be lots of young kids. 2.) Have a documented program of instruction (whatever you feel is best) for students of all levels. 3.) Find out what each student wants to achieve. Some people want to play in a rock band, some want to play at home, etc. Tailor your program to each student.

Hey just wanted to say you're a huge inspiration. I watched one of your older videos and you said you started playing drums as late as 17. That's the age I started, and you just gave me a whole new mindset. Your channel is gold.

I was 21! Taught myself mainly, apart from three lessons to get started in the beginning from a friend who was a session drummer and a boys brigade champion snare drummer, that he didn’t ask any money for, God bless him! also learned tips from reading drum magazines, and watching technique of drummers on KZbin too. Also learned from my main inspirations, John bonham, buddy rich, billy cobham, Ian paice.... although I would consider myself a natural drummer, I did not get to the level I have without some perseverance and time, of course, but as they say, if you have to work too hard for too many years on anything, it wasn’t for you... Thanks to Rob who gave some good ideas in this video.

Hey Rob, awesome video with some great ideas. When you write backing tracks and music, how do you typically promote it/sell it/get it out there. Where are some good places to start with trying to distribute music if you dont have a large audience? I know you have your youtube channel, but are there any other tools or platforms in promoting your own music that have been helpful? Thanks again and great video!🤙🏽

Sigurd Music session as in recording drumparta for artists? How do you get it set up/get business
@SiggeMusic7 жыл бұрын
Mr.Viking yes. Well, it’s all about building a network of musicians. I started building my network with touring in different bands. Meeting new people, and new musicians. The other way is the hard “hustle” way, which actually also gets me quite some work: get on twitter, and instagram, and DM/PM 50-100 different people a day. Go search for hashtags where people could need a drummer, like “singer”, “bassist” etc. And get in contact with people. It’s all about networking.
@SiggeMusic7 жыл бұрын
floopstuh online “session” is basically if an artist need you to record some drums. They contact you online, send you the files for the song, you record the drums, ans send it back.

Rob, I'm only 13 years old and I know I'm starting at an early age, yet I feel confident that I can be like you, a very good drummer. I have a temporary crappy drumset with Evans g2's on them, I got one cymbal cuz the set was drums only, the snare needs a bottom head, and I'm missing a claw for the resin side of the bass drum. but I can get by with it. it's my first drum set and possibly my only one I want. you're the inspiration I needed to get started on drums. of course, you gotta have some Vic's they are nylon tips and I got another pair for rehearsal. they are Vic's too just all wooden sincerely, Barker
