That is horse shit... Just use the scanner to show if the AC is being commanded on...Then see what the High pressure sensor is reporting. And the most common fault. The damn AC evaporator core temp sensor probe is bad. If it's below 65 Degrees. The PC will not turn the AC on. To keep the core from freezing up... And that sensor under the dash is known to go bad.

you videos are great and I think you helped me narrow down my problem to the AC pressure switch. I think in an older video you mention to have a professional evacuate the lines before removing and replacing the AC pressure switch. I didn't hear you mention that in this video and watching other videos, I don't see others recommending to evacuate it. Is that step not needed?

Ok so my daughter's 2012 Kia Optima SX isn't taking charge oil or refrigerant..compressor won't engage. Will an OB2 scanner tell me if it's a switch, a fuse/relay or the clutch? I assume not so what type of diagnostic tool do I need if not

Bruh these systems are flawed it’s crazy when you try to charge it out the car in gear and hold the brakes and gas at the same time you will need someone to do that while it recharges smh

Sounds like a bad compressor if it’s not taking Freon

Shoot with my 2014, on hot days from a cold start it takes driving around 10 or so miles before it changes from blowing hot air to cold

So I ended up fixing the ac fan and now my car blows cold air at idle👍🏼

@@shadownivorytheakitas might have to do that, I also found that when I start it if I set it just one click higher than the coldest setting and turn of the recirculation it blows a little cooler. Once you hit open road turn recirculation on and it's golden
