I’m so glad I found you. Your passion is so apparent and has recharged me. I have studied this stuff for years ( because I’m a nerd and slightly food obsessed 😜) but now that I find myself struggling with peri menopause and hashimotos I lost my motivation, and felt like I was floundering. I subscribed to your diet the other day and resumed intermittent fasting. Moving in to experimenting with what is causing my flare ups. Thanks for giving me hope again. This aging stuff sucks a little bit and seems to have hit me overnight

Is it possible one's sleep could be affected by natural sugar? ie bananas, dates? I eat whole foods, lots of veges everyday, etc........lately when I go to bed, I just lay there a wake almost all night, only get a few hours. I'm not stressed about anything or worried about anything, I just lay there no thoughts. Sometimes my heart races for a bit. It's not unusual for me to eat a few bananas, sweet potatoes, and 3 or 4 big dates (just the dates can be 40 to 60 grams of sugar).......an orange during the day. Could this be a problem or unlikely? Thanks. I'm 59 and hit menopause 7 years ago.

It is possible, but unlikely unless the surge of sugar is causing a spike of insulin which is then leading to hypoglycemia (the dates).
