One caveat for those looking at watches with tritium illumination....take the manufacturer`s "25-year effectiveness" with a LARGE grain of salt. My Lumi-Nox began fading noticeably after 8 or 9 years, and at 13 years old, is no longer effective. Same deal with some handgun night sights that I`ve owned for a while.

I have known more SEALs that wear Seiko Padi Diving Watches and Marathon SAR Watches because that is what many of the Teams Issue to their Operators!

I just love it when a Watch company says that is used by Special Forces and the watch is a Quartz movement which has a battery and electronics inside and that is something that SF Operators might wear a G-Shock, Suunto or Garmin GPS Watch but they also have an Automatic Movement Watch because those are not bothered by Electronic Jamming Devices like everything can be. Resco Instruments is also a Very Popular Watch in the SF Community because they are built like a Tank like the Marathons but they are USA Made where Marathon are Swiss Made. I have two Marathons a 41mm GSAR Type II that has been with me since 2008 and has been a great watch and for Christmas my wife got me the CSAR 46mm Chrono Watch which a BEAST! @JD-ww4nl : My 1st watch in the 70's decade, was a Seiko tachymeter model- till this year 2024, almost all of my wrist watch, were of such brand.. My wife, 3.children, housemates, etc., almost everybody, their favorite & tested brand was, is Seiko, those "Seiko-5" series, my fav'te was the "Divers model"!..; Why were you so hostile to the Seiko brand?... Any traumatic experience?... Moved on & learned to forgive!...😢😢
