I love my Off Roam mounts, AVS bug deflector and low pro rain guard on my 5G 4Runner.

I had vent visors on my old Ranger and I loved them. When that truck got totaled, I got another set for the F-150 I got to replace it, but they changed the design of how they mount. Both sets I got were the in-channel mount as opposed to the exterior mount, and were fixed in place with about a 1/4" wide strip of VHB, but in the Ranger the adhesive mount went all the way along the length of it and never came off once, but on the F-150 they had like 4 or 5 tabs that were about 1-inch long, and I had to replace the VHB tape on it three or four times before it actually broke sitting on my passenger seat before I could mount it again. Both were the same brand, the AVS vent visors, but I'm guessing it was a cost cutting measure that they changed the design.

Damn that sucks. AVS was just one I heard great things about, at the end of the day I haven’t owned any brand on any of my cars but I know it’s something I should be getting for sure.

@@OXFOOT That truck got hit, too, and I've got a Nissan Frontier now, but I never got a set for this truck. I'm looking at them on Amazon now and they have the full-length adhesive mount in the pictures, but they're currently almost double the price I paid 10+ years ago. Both the Ranger and F-150 set were $40 each, but they were just for a single cab set. The Frontier set is going for $70, but it's also for the crew cab. Or for off-brand ones I'm also finding them closer to $40

I love the upper molle shelf in the back from victory 4x4 on my 4Runner. Stuff all my blankets and pillows up there. Plus a hammock and rain gear.

Installed a Rayo dash plate with the Ram mount for my phone. Easy install. Liking the mods you’ve done so far with the Tundra!

@@OXFOOT Mine is a plate with threaded mounting holes for mounts like the RAM Mounts. It also has a dual usb charging port in the middle that I hard wired in. @RagoFabrication

Swapping out for LEDs is a massive upgrade. Did it in my 4Runner, got lucky my Tundra already had them.

I'd say my favorite mods I've done are the LFD Offroad 3/4 roof rack (it definitely changed the look from stock) and took me about 40 minutes to install, and my canvasback cargo liner, which only took about 5 minutes to install

I really like the look of the 3/4 racks. I feel like they were all the rage for a while but companies stopped making them. Idk what’s up with that.

Some of the easiest mods that I put in that I still enjoy today are the blackout badges and internal LED replacements. One is for aesthetics while the other one is functional. Those were my first mods I’ve done and still on my truck today after 2 1/2 years

I really need to swap out fine of my yellow halogen bulbs for LED at some point. The interior bulbs seems like an easy swap.

My favorite easy mods are: Husky floor mats (5 mins); AJT Designs interior chrome delete (maybe 20 mins); mounting a halotron fire extinguisher to my desert does it panel, on a quick disconnect (5 mins).

I need to do that AJT design thing. I saw drilling and all that and thought I could get away with the stick on ones on the inside but weirdly when it got cold they all like creaked and made a bunch of noise so I ripped most of them out. I’ll have to try out the AJT one.

@@OXFOOT yeah, taking the backing off the adhesive is 80% of the project. I still have the "brushed aluminum" plastic but no more chrome details inside. Oh, you know it might be closer to an hour if you also do the knobs because the AC controls have to come out.

Need a ‘toughest mods’ video. Doing the front suspension was deceptively hard for me - spent at least 40mins trying to align the top hat with the bottom of the strut. Each time I messed up, I had to compress the springs again, loosen the top hat nut and then retighten.

Fav mods I’ve done in order: bilstein 6112/5160 suspension; sso bumper and winch; rooftop tent; auxbeam 6gang; upgraded to hella horns; Ironman rear bumper; snorkel; diff breather; 35” tires - this is by far the worst bc of mpg and acceleration

dont do the in channel vent visors, while visors are great for hot weather or rain, the in channels suck. they mess with your windows alot. i had avs on my ram1500 and had to take them off. i had fitment problems and they would mess with the auto up feature by not going up all the way. they also scratch them and cause alot of friction and noise. that said, i dont think its a good idea to occupy the same channel as your window with plastic but they will sort of work for awhile. the outside ones dont look as good but if you want trouble free or function over fashion go with the outside mount.

Hope to get a 4Runner in the couple of weeks. My first mods will be to get rid of the Chrome and silver on the exterior. And because I want to sleep in the back, that window visor looks like it needs to be at the top of my list. All great ideas in the video. -Chris⛰️🚙

Yeah I would say two very important mods are visors and a clip on fan for back there. Luckily the spoiler thing has a good overhang in the back so for the first trip you could just roll your back window down a little bit and get away with not using the visor right away.
