Both the 12100 and 12400 support ddr5 and pcie 5.0. The 7600 description makes it sound like they dont

R5-7500F. $130 or less on AliExpress. Same performance as the 7600 but almost 1/2 the price. Just missing an iGPU.

performance is actually a little less, probably about a 1-3% hit, but yeah for the most part its the same performance for cheaper. Really good value and the only thing you miss is an iGPU for occasional debugging, which is great considering the 7600 is almost $200. Id take 2% less performance for $70 cheaper. Its a 7600 non-x with the boost clock shifted down 100mhz and the igpu disabled.

ryzen 7 5700x 3.4/4.6Ghz 8c/16t 65w 32MB L3 for the price right now, low tdp.....criminal it didnt make the list lol. Get super low temps with a decent air cooler so easily overclocked for better performance too

i owned one, was pretty good. you can find them for $150 rn. I upgraded to a 5700X3D and sold the 5700X to a friend, and its performing better in games. But considering the price gap between the two is like $70-80 in a lot of cases, you are right. However, the 7600, and sometimes the 7500f, perform exactly like a 5700x in gaming, and most of the time even better. However, the price for AM5 is still a bane for many even right now, and still doesn't change the fact the 5700X should be on this list for older AM4 users using chips like a 1600X, 2700X, 3600, or 3700X who want to upgrade and cant afford or find the 5700x3d.

@Hamborger-wd5jg I only mention it as for value friendly. I still have one and love it. For the price, low power and the fact it'll still hold up with any 1440p GPU. I think it's a severely underrated CPU. By comparison the 5800x although similar in price has a much higher power consumption for little gains. X3d models are the only obvious upgrade but if you can obviously go am5 for a new build. Tbh though I can see am4 holding up for another 2 years or so atleast

@@theibaneztamer5072 oh absolutely it definitely is power efficient. the 5800X is a power hog thats the reason i actually got the 5700x instead back last year in may. i had a 4070 with the 5700x before i upgraded to a 7900 GRE may of this year, and gave my brother the 4070 and it handled the 4070 quite well. Though my frame rates are even higher with the 7900 GRE and 5700X3D. The 5700x3d is also pretty power efficient. I have mine power limited to 80 watts and while it does get a little warmer than my 5700X (about 70 C vs the 66 C my 5700x got to), its still clearly more efficient than something like a 5800x.
