I would wait 3 hours for a 1 minute ride through the orange grove of HORIZONS.
@Brizzo1157 жыл бұрын
Normally I would completely agree. I visit Disney World once a year and know I will experience these rides once again. However, when I was there in October, I rode Flight of Passage in Animal Kingdom for the first time. The longest I had ever waited for a ride in Disney or anywhere was 75 minutes for Soarin’ when it got the new movie in 2016. In October I felt Flight of Passage was so exceptional that my family including my then 8 year old sister decided it was completely worth it to wait 3 hours for a 2nd ride. Flight of Passage is my favorite ride in Disney World and was completely worth that wait
@Sophie-wq6eo7 жыл бұрын
Idt any ride is worth more than a 45 minute wait. Thats why I go for rope drop because 9-11 there is rarely any wait. And especially some rides that break down constantly can add 30-45 minutes to your wait. Happened to me at space mountain and I had a fast pass 😒.

Soarin' is amazing. Don't miss it because of what was said in this episode. When you get to the front of the line, ask the cast member to seat you in section B, row 1. If it's already full, wait for one more round. As Charles said, it's only an extra 3ish minutes. If you've already invested 60-90 minutes in line, you'll be glad you waited an extra 3 for great seats.

Barnstormer should have been on your list. Only worth doing if it is a literal walk on. 30 second ride if you take out the lift hill. I agree that Astro Orbiter is not worth waiting in a long line for, but don't think it deserves all the hate you give it. It provides unique views of the Magic Kingdom and is fun (though short). Also, unlike other rides that we all love to hate (Stitch, Swiss Family, etc...) it doesn't take up space that could be better used for another ride. Where it sits atop the food service, its a bonus ride that absorbs a little bit of the crowd.

We had a FP for the mine train for the second hour in the park and did not wait long at all. Getting there for rope drop is so much better than waiting in a long line in the hot Florida sun.

The one in Walt Disney World was -- originally -- a scene for scene clone on the Disneyland one. When they remodeled and expanded Fantasyland, they made slight changes to PPF and shortened it, which does suck. However, it is still an abbreviated version of Walt's creation, and so is still a part of him.

I think it's long because the capacity is really short. It's in a really small corner and the flying ships don't hold lots of people. It's always been one of the longest lines in the Magic Kingdom, I think because the capacity is just too small and the demand is too high and it can't take as many people at any one time. That being said, the new queue that they've added at the Magic Kingdom has made the Peter Pan a little more bearable and is actually beautiful what they've done with the queue theming there and at the Winnie the Pooh ride.

I've noticed that because Dinosaur's height limit is low, and it's about dinosaurs, lots of people take little kids on it and they get scared out of their minds. the boards and apps for wait times are usually pretty accurate. the best times for the most popular attractions are during parades, fireworks, and generally any time after dinner. it all depends on which park though. the worst time is late morning-early afternoon. but you can book your fastpasses accordingly, and for those that you don't have them for, enjoy the immersion experience of each attraction
@MattMcIrvin7 жыл бұрын
FastPass+ is your friend--if you plan ahead and get your FastPasses, that will let you skip the regular line for 3 rides a day, right there. Also, if you have a smartphone, get the My Disney Experience phone app; when you're in the park it'll show you what the current wait time is for everything (and maybe also let you snag more FastPasses after you've used your 3). There are times of the day/week when the wait isn't so bad. One thing to remember about WDW is that a lot of these rides have really cool themed queues, and if you're visiting for the first time, that's an experience in itself. Some of them would almost work as separate walk-through attractions. My rule of thumb is that for the rides with heavily themed or "interactive" queues, the queue has maybe 30 minutes' worth of entertainment in it, so you can subtract half an hour off the wait time to imagine how it's going to feel. Some are better than others. One of the reasons they're complaining about Soarin' in the video is that its queue area isn't very interesting--there's a trivia game on big screens that you can play through your smartphone, but that's it. But most of them are better.

I absolutely loved the Na'vi River Journey, but indeed, it is a short ride, and no, I would not stand in line for two hours, or even one hour for it. Anything much beyond half an hour would be too long. Same for 7 Dwarfs. It is fun, it is visually attractive, but it isn't worth standby. Either use FP+, or ride it during EMM. Astro Orbiter, my son loved it when he was little, didn't matter how long the line was. The speedway, kids go nuts for it. I have had to stand in that line for 45 minutes with my son, though we usually are able to get there early before the line is long, or grab an additional FP for it. For sure I don't think it is worth a long wait.

I spent a FastPass on Tomorrowland Speedway because my daughter considered it mandatory. She'll stand in line for that long just for the little race-car ride at Canobie Lake Park (which is actually one of the most insanely long lines at Canobie, because it's right at the front of the park and every little kid wants to do it).

I don't know if he will still feel that attracted to it this summer, but he certainly did last year, and it is one of those rides you either have to do first thing in the morning, or use FP+, otherwise you stand in line for 40 minutes.

I agree with all except Soarin and Dinosaur. But then every time I went on Soarin it was a fast pass. Whenever they changed Test Track in 2012 they made the cars with less leg room. Before the change I was able to ride the ride with no issues. This past October I was stuck in the back and my knees were jammed in against the back of the front seat. After getting off my left knee was bleeding from a skin being pulled apart. Years ago I rode it and had no issues. I am only 6'1 so it isn't like I am extremely tall.

With FastPass, no one should be waiting in line more than 30 mins. After that, you’re wasting your time. Something to try though, especially if you have a small group like 2 people or by yourself, schedule your FastPasses as early in the day as possible so you can schedule more throughout the day. My mom n I did that on our last trip and we were able to ride every ride in Epcot before 1 except Mission Space because we’re both claustrophobic and Frozen because it’s super lame. We spent the second half of the day Drinking Around The World lol

Is Disney World's Soarin' screen shaped differently than the one in California? I've ridden the one in California Adventure countless times and I've never noticed the image warping nearly as bad as described here. A tiny bend, sure, but no noodly Eifel Tower.

Nolan St. John Disney CA screen is 5x better not even kidding. Been on both 3+ times and the screen is crystal clear compared to WDW. Only thing WDW Soarin has better is a queue

I went to Disney a few weeks ago with my brother and grandparents, and the longest time we waited for a ride was 45 minutes for the haunted mansion, which was soooo worth it. We went on all of the rides you mentioned except the Tomorrowland speedway (gag) and anything in the animal kingdom (we didn’t go there on our trip) and they were all 30 minutes or less. I was so surprised when we got on the 7 dwarves mine train in like 25 minutes!! Great video as always, guys

Skipping the pre ride show areas would not make the line faster. Those are designed as holding pens until the line ahead gets short enough to allow everyone to move forward. If you didn't have them you would just have more standing in a queue. At least with a pre-show (corny as it may be) you are a little distracted for a bit.

I’ve never seen dinosaur at a longer wait time then 30 minutes and I love it lol. It’s one of my favorite things. I love the museum, the story, phylicia rashad. Plus the indoor waiting area is a nice change if it’s hot outside or raining.
@NLI9156 жыл бұрын
My girlfriend and I used the single-rider line for Test Track... only like a 5 minute wait, skipped the car designing area, and still got to sit in the same coaster as each other for the ride!
@kale35636 жыл бұрын
totally agree with the Peter Pan being not worth it. I get that people like how the city looks so small, you get pretty close, you're hanging from above, however I actually think it looks cheap. They need to just need to update it a little bit and I think the hour + wait will be fine then. It's a classic ik ik, but I cannot see how the line is actually that long. Only time I ever ride it is when I have a fast pass or when the night firework show is going on and everyone isn't at the rides
@jackob.graphic51436 жыл бұрын
xctf The E.T Adventure at universal has the same city effect and barely ever has a wait. In my opinion, it is also more visually pleasing than Peter Pan and it has a stronger narrative. It’s also a much longer ride.
@robbyowens52637 жыл бұрын
No ride is worth 3-4 hours wait period...but I will say Flight Of Passage is the first ride worth a 2 hour wait IMO. As far as the rest of the rides none of them are worth more than 30-1hour if that. That could be that we go at least 2 times (sometimes 3) a year, so waiting for the same old Ride is not worth it.

in the exit room of testtrack theirs a car building stations, if you scan you pass it saves your car. you dont have a time limmit and can take as long as you want and if you go through single rider you can skip a load of the wait and still get to design a car.
@April_ONeil6 жыл бұрын
a good tip is watch the app for wait times. We rode Na'vi river late in the day and only waited 20 mins. On the app it came up and temp closed. That is the best time to head to a popular ride. People will end up leaving the line and you can move up quickly. The key is to keep an eye on the app and make sure it doesn't change to closed.

I waited 4.5 hours for Tower of Terror the day before it closed in Disneyland (they were no longer offering Fastpasses). And while I might have passed through all the stages of grief while I was waiting, I still think it was worth it!

It wasn't that bad really, we had FP for both Frozen and Na'vi river journey. Granted, I booked mine the first day it was available to do so. If you're trying to do it on the app the day of your visit it's not happening.

I liked most of the rides they picked here. The boat ride in Pandora is obviously beautiful inside. I agree that Peter Pan always gets a long wait, and isn't worth it if you are short in time. Likewise the Seven Dwarf's Mine Train in Magic Kingdom is also a long wait not worth it, unless you haven't been there. I like the Tomorrowland Speedway. That's worth it for me. The wait time is never that long. Also, I'm a fan of the Astro Orbiter. It's fun. It takes you up an elevator. You get great views. The line isn't usually even that long, although, it's just the loading process that takes long. It's a memorable experience. Toy Story Mania is my pick for worst ride, not just in terms of wait time, but just in general. That's basically like a tablet game and the wait time can be really long. The theming is pretty cool, but I"m not a fan of the whole ride concept itself. It seems lazy and it's very small and just represents Disney being cheap and not actually building a ride that could have had more substance. It was built during the recession. I'd rather have a dark ride in there or something else.

My Top 5 rides that are not worth the wait (in my opinion) 1. Na'vi river journey Pete summed it perfectly its Pirates of the Caribbean without the charm. 2. Mission Space (Both the Green & the Orange version), Star Tours and Flight of passage These three rides are motion simulators and motion simulators give me migraines, so if i'm in line for a motion simulator ride knowing that I will get an extreme headache and have to suffer from it for the rest of my day than its just not worth it! 3. Tomorrowland speedway Why would I want to wait 10 or 30 minutes to drive a noise race car? 4. Winnie The Pooh This ride is nothing special to me. 5. Kali River rapids I don't want to be drenched through out my day at Animal Kingdom (unless it was a hundred something degrees)
@christmasebes80987 жыл бұрын
chamonix97 I'm not saying your wrong but some I don't agree with. Mission space I love G force rides and some don't I get that but it really does feel like your going to outer space but the old one was better. Tomorrowland speed way I agree it does take up a lot of the tomorrowland area and could've been smaller but if anyone has kids they love it I take my cousins who are 5-6 and they love this ride. Kali river rapids I agree that you don't want to get soaked while there but my advice is wear dryfit clothes swim shorts and bring towels in your book bag so you can dry off afterwards

I completely agree with most of these, but especially Peter Pan. I heard so much hype about this ride before my first ever trip and it was honestly boring as a little kid. Only one I really disagree with is Test Track. It's my favorite ride at Epcot, and the single rider line moves very fast. I also probably wouldn't put Soarin on the list but that line does get way longer than it should be in the middle of the day.

People will think I'm crazy, but I would never wait again for the Frozen ride in Norway. When the ride was over (or starting?) our boats bumped. My husband and I each had a mini whiplash feeling and my back was sore the next day. Maybe this was a freak thing that never usually happens. I also found the images projected on Anna and Elsa's faces a little weird.

if you are someone who goes to Disney a lot and is willing to miss the fireworks for one night, I would recommend going on Astro orbiter during the fireworks or during the night time. the line is significantly shorter and it is really pretty during the night time

I get some of these gripes, but being from the UK and don’t get out to Orlando 30 times every year, we always enjoy these rides and my 5 and 7 year old girls are really good in line so it’s not that much for us to wait to get on these rides.

do peter pan first. walk in and go to the back of the park. in peak season you can walk on little mermaid, peter pan, the carousel, and small world. fast pass the mine train and youve done the major portion of an entire section of the park in about an hour->hour and a half. Skip winnie the pooh.

When it comes to test track, I think they use the car designer area as a crowd buffer so that the line afterwards flows better and is not as congested.

Hello - I so agree with your 1st selection. This was a helpful presentation. Snow White Mine Train is a very entertaining ride but - in order for the 'wait' to be worth it to anyone - your target audience may be someone on vacation and not a regular visitor to Walt Disney World. Once ridden however - the 'wait' is just not worth it!!

I really like Test Track but I get why you wouldn't want to wait for it, the issue is that it's the only thrill ride in Epcot so the wait time never really fluctuates much throughout the day. If I can't get a fast pass I usually won't wait more than 40 minutes for it.

Great show! I agree with everyone except Steve's Test Track, but I don't have Radiator Springs or the old version to compare it to. My young kids didn't mind waiting an hour for it. Being able to design your car before the ride is awesome!

Agree with Charles about Soarin. We were on the side and I hated it. Here in MN we have a similar ride called Fly Over America. It doesn't have the same issues when on the side, and it's longer. Much better ride (though it does cost $15 to ride).
@aan04097 жыл бұрын
That’s exactly why I always get fastpasses for Navi River Journey and not FoP! FoP’s queue is so intricate and nuanced that the wait goes by so quickly. For River Journey you wait almost equally as long (or sometimes even longer) for a ride with a less immersive queue. Since I consider both of these rides a MUST DO on my vacations, a River Journey fastpass is necessary!
@N8R_Quizzie6 жыл бұрын
With the 7 dwarves mine train, for me it was worth it, our family had a fast pass on it, and we waited ~20 minutes. We were nice to the person at the end that she let us on again right after. So if I had to wait for an hour and ride once, I wouldn't think it's worth it. Peter Pan is really great, however, I was able to walk on every time I've been on it so Idk about the wait. I think Soarin' isn't bad on the sides especially with the renovation recently. I got the Left view, and the Eiffel tower was a bit curved, but the rest of it seems normal and it looks greatly improved versus the original screen. The Test Track build your car and compete minigame is so much fun. I think the beginning is pretty slow, but it is very fun anyways. Dinosaur is one of my favorites. I would wait in a line that is less than an hour. I would say it is the scariest Disney World ride and it never fails to thrill me. It gets my adrenaline going everytime I see that video because I know whats coming up. Good list, I don't agree with everything.
