Hey my friend yesterday I encountered a problem with my Mx49. All started with the output sound trough my new headphones ( connected to the phones output) , the left side of the headphones wasn’t coming any sound. Then when playing high keys the sounds was coming out distorted. So I decided to plug my personal monitor (it is new as well) and it was giving me the same issue, also when playing the keys there was a clicking noise coming trough the sound. Also when pressing play button for the performance the music was coming out of tempo and some random weird sounds were played not even the normal performance sound. Do you have any idea what happened or what could’ve cause this? I had to factory reset it couple of times (4) until the problem was solved.

@@WilliamDeCleveland I haven’t had any issue like that since owned it (5 years). Sound distored or unstable outputs means the amplify section issue, are you using correct yamaha power supply adapter of it? Or third party one?

Can the 4 layers be controlled by the 4 knobs on the keyboard. Can the pad split into the middle part of the keys not to muddy up the layered sound when played in very low and high keys of the keyboard. Thank you and keep posting tutorials .

No, you can't assign top 4 knobs with volume unfortunately. MX has only 2 channels to control. With external editor (John Melas MX editor), you can fully manage the range of keyboard with any voices.

I would like to connect my MX88 with my Yamaha PSR via midi so that the MX sounds are played on the PSR... can you explain to me how to do it? To play differents sounds from the MX at the same time on the 2 keyboards... thank you my friend

Thanks for the questions: did you try to connect cable midi OUT of mx88 to midi IN of psr? It should work without doing anything.

@@mdmusiz yes I tried. I can get the sound of the MX on the PSR but both play the same sound. I would like the PSR to play another sound from the MX (the MX is much better). but I can't find a configuration to play another sound. do you know how to program the mx?

@@yonez81110 just select different programs on your PSR normally via the buttons on your PSR. If you select the program on your MX the program on PSR should change accordingly the reference numbers that you would find in your reference data list manual of your PSR.

All sound are custom program voice, not preset, unfortunately not for MOX series.
