I know this is an alternate universe story, but what about Zombie Spiderman. He ends up overcoming his urge to eat, forms "The New Avengers" consisting of some humans and zombies, finds a way to destroy all the zombies left, including his team and himself. He was pretty badass.

Why do people love "tough, no nonsense, gun totting women" characters so much. Is it because it subverts a cliche? Because it's a huge cliche in of itself. Just swap the characters gender and you get a dime-a-dozen action hero. Why does the gender suddenly make them likable?
