Just so you know; this video made me tear up just *hearing* about the emotions these reactions evoked. And then I googled the live crowd reactions. I am legitimately crying right now. I mean, I've had my fair share of emotional e3 moments since I first watched the xbox conference solely for Halo 5 in 2015, then started watching everything else over the next few years... but holy shit. That inkling trailer was such an insane reveal even though looking back it seems pretty obvious. When the light started to fade and you see the inklings stop and slowly turn around, and you see something glowing in her eye and bam smash logo it was fucking insane. And the best part was that it didn't have some big musical swell or character reveal it was just a giant burning smash logo and the ominous hum of the fire and the silhouettes of all the characters augh so good.

My favorite of this list was Resident Evil 7, I was surprised to see that Capcom is doing something actually good with Resident Evil and I was super happy that it ended up being a good game.

i know. the reactions get me teary eyed every time. the setup was perfect: people were leaving as they thought it was over. reggie announces one more game, people still filing out trailer starts quick shot of someone on horse back cluing people and the excitement builds full shot of link on epona drawing his sword. people go INSANE, causing people who left to rush back in trailer shows the heavy tolkien influence, ends with the sheathing of the sword, cut to miyamoto. it was magic. the person who set up that show is a god.

I have to emphatically disagree with the Melee reveal being on the list if only because of how much bigger and epic the overall reaction was to the Brawl reveal. I mean, the new characters, the reveal of Final Smashes, and of course, the end with Solid Snake opening up the franchise to beyond Nintendo... Yes, you can argue that Melee is a better game, but the Brawl reveal was such a cultural landmark.

I worked at the world championship tekken finale. Here in the netherlands. The whole weekend. Watched all the games. And man. I watch reaction vids and know the gaming community with their genuine enthusiasm. My collegues did less and it was interesting for them to see this kind of sportmanship and tension in the fighting games. And then reveal came. Of the new characters. Boy the room was yelling. Ahh that's a tough one. I mean, you have to be really rich just to purchase any ordinance in general, plus you need to know a bunch of top-ranking officials from several countries (not just the ones you'll be buying from and the ones in your home country). I guess obtaining a B-2 Bomber would be the hardest, since you need to have a runway and a hangar as well. Not to mention China and Russia would be all over your internet traffic for YEARS, even IF you keep making enough money to turn your respective home government's metaphorical head.

Sadly there is no footage for this in particular (aside from a few poorly recorded vids) but my favorite knowledge dropped at e3 was the Smash bros Brawl trailer, why? Because Imagine being there, thinking the trailer is over and the you hear the codec sound *blip blip* and then you see snake talking about mario and then he comes out of the box and *NEWCOMER SOLID SNAKE* appears and holy shit not only is that the first third party character in Smash history but also the first M rated character as well Snake in smash means a lot and I feel that not many people acknowledge that fact, because of him we can have Sonic, ryu, Cloud, Joker, and others so thanks Snake and Kojima

I honestly thought that the smash ultimate reveal was number 1. Me (and probably a bunch of other people) thought it was going to be a port with extra customizations for link and inkling dlc at worst and at best a smash game reveal showcasing a few gimmicks and maybe a character reveal that wasn't inkling, and there were predictions of who was going to be shafted like maybe shulk wouldn't make it or greninja... but no, the status quo was broken and every character was coming back each with their own showcase! It blew me out of the water.

Yea.... You might want to watch more closely. Most of the crowd reactions are "gimnicked" but whether it's filling the crowd with employees or fans who are expected to give over enthusiastic responses like you see. It's quite literally bullshit. Bethesda very clearly gave two rows to their employees and the rest of the audience didn't applaud or anything. It's not only them many of these press conferences are set up with either employees or people hired to cheer. Because why aren't you cheering, everyone else is? What's wrong with you? Don't you want Commander keen mobile?
