Luis Balsas a not sharp machete? Is that the same as a blunt one? And there isn't really an answer for that. It's just that machetes are made for breaking thick branches, so they don't really need to be that sharp. They're a striking/hacking tool, not a slashing.

Maybe not razor sharp (because they are cheap steel) but sharp nonetheless. My dad has used machetes for most of his life and trust me, machetes are blunt when brand new, they need to get sharpened with a file and if properly sharp can cut down trees.
