I watched many Top Gear episodes like 10/15 times but with Grand Tour, I have not rewatched many episodes. The first 2 seasons felt a very scripted anyway, whereas with Top Gear even though it was scripted, you didn't notice it as much.

It's a bit of a misconception that the UK is cold, speaking of England where he lives the coldest it ever really gets to is -5/-10°C in winter, and the summer months average around 25°C, last year we had a few days hitting 34/35°C, and it actually feels hotter than it is due to England being quite humid. I know a Greek family who were actually surprised by just how hot it was. What we do have however, is an abundance of overcast days where it's just grey, slightly cold and slightly windy. Bill Bailey described it as weather which fills the British people with a sense of wistful melancholy.
