The one thing what stands out with Tom Cruise is how much he is invested in a movie. Getting the co actors trained for their respective roles, the farsighted vision of how the movie should deliver, and not to forget how he manages to push his own boundaries in every movie. Having such a person around automatically demands 200% from each member of the team. Not to forget the cohesiveness between the director and the actors

As a 27 year old when I tell my friends that my favourite Hollywood actor is Tom Cruise, I often get asked why that oldie. To be honest, as a 5 year old watching MI 2 from the movie start, seeing this extremely cute guy with wavy hair moutain climbing, I was Smitten and made him my hero from then on. Years on I am proud of my choice as I see his dedication to his movies especially the action scenes. I doubt there can be anyone who can displace Tom Cruise and his contribution to cinema. Already looking forward to the new Mission Impossible.

This movie is made to be experienced in theatres. Just cannot fathom that someone going to this lengths to preserve the originality of a movie. All the jaw dropping dogfight sequences just blows my minds even after multiple watchings. Seeing the BTS videos just reminds that how a person would risks their lives for their art. I will always cherish the experience of watching Top Gun in theatre. It can never be replaced.

Born on the 4th of July, The last Samurai, Jerry Maguire and even Tropic Thunder.....The list is long when it comes to outstanding performances from Tom Cruise. Almost every role he has played, you can genuinely see that he pours in his soul out. With all the movies he has done, having single handedly carried the Mission Impossible series on his shoulder and bringing out wow moments every time, Tom Cruise in my opinion is by far the greatest movie star ever and the one true global superstar. And, I am not even talking about his action sequencing/direction skills, his stunt preparations, his flying/racing and whole bunch of other skills. There are better actors than him for sure, but it is hard to find a single person from the movie industry who can be this loved and this involved in all aspects of movie business while being insanely successful commercially and getting rave reviews consistently on performance and star power. 40+ years in the movies and still at top of his game. unfathomable.

I watched the first part just yesterday to watch this today, and I must say both are amazing. In this one especially, the action scenes are outstanding. Loved it!

It is said that ray ban and Kawasaki, both were in the verge of bankruptcy but then Tom cruise used their products in the first top gun and now they both are pioneers in their industries.

Fucking Loved him in Mission Impossible 3 and haven't looked back since. (I know I watched the 3rd film first I was a stupid kid) Tropical Thunder, Collateral, Whole of MI franchise, even Cocktail. My god does Tommy boy has range. Top Gun to date is the most Macho 80s film in Tom's Filmography and I hope when I see the sequel on Sunday it's as good as it's predecessor.

This guy and Keanu Reeves are the last true action stars who can also act left in Hollywood....also these two men are the only ones who I feel are left who don't do CGI heavy movies but want to do practical action

I want to bring up something. IMAX at Lucknow was way too loud, to the point that it hurt our ears. Is this normal? I feel it shouldn't be as it can actually lead to hearing damage. I still have a slight pain in my ear even though its been two days after I watched the movie. Has anyone else experienced this thing?

The main character arc here is Maverick didn’t have a family in the first movie or the second. At the end of the film Mav has a family with Rooster, Penny and her daughter. It was a great way to wrap up his story. He found a group of people crazy like him who want to go sailing or drive fast cars or work on airplanes or go riding motorbikes.
