After watching you for couple weeks, I finally decided to download Risk on my phone. Earlier today I was down in troops with low troops on 3 caps. He had 2 caps after he attempted to to su me he lost, before I could finish him off he surrendered. I’ve learned a lot by watching you and catch myself saying a lot of the same stuff you do. Hey Pete! I was wondering about the moments you close your eyes in silence as the ten seconds count down to the start of tournaments. Do you not do so anymore? What were you thinking the times you *have* done it? Might be unrelated, but personally I'm a total nervous-wreck until, suddenly, the moment I start performing and the nerves vanish; leading up I'm in constant pooping-myself mode.

Bro, I feel you. When I played baseball and hockey, I thought I would die the half hour before every game. Season, round Robin, championship, didn't matter. In my career, before any large presentation or event, same thing. The only thing that let me survive it is that I realized early...as soon as the lights come on, I locked in and performed. I'm not an anxious person in general, but man, you hit where I live.

I'm trying to center myself and focus when I go into competition. I haven't been diligent with my meditation and fitness practice recently and I've been drinking too much. Now that I've moved on from my other business and focusing my full attention on yt I plan on taking my overall health more seriously and that includes calming my mind before going into battle

I know in another video Pete mentioned he was trying to use the player's names more in your tournament games. I think this is a good/great idea - but I would hope to make one suggestion. I struggle to remember the names of the players, and I don't have the icon recognition yet. If these videos are easy to edit - could the names of the players be below their icons on the right? Yes - this is something that the Risk: Global Domination developers should work on - but in the short term it would be great as Pete uses the player names more

1:04:00 What a wild position, I'm curious how this game bursts open. I suspect some one doesn't bounty they just get that 70% probably. No one has a bonus, and I get the feeling we won't see them until real close to the end.

Okay i'm back having watched week 1 now, so now i Understand a little more, jeez, these videos aren't coming out very fast if i watched this a week and half ago. Not on you, I assume the tournament is spaced out one round a week. Also 46 minutes in is when game 2 moves onto. you have 2 videos hidden and 3 videos watchable, are the hidden ones where you had it set to separate videos for some of these games?

Hey Pete, do you know about ppl hacking or cheating? Or what happens if you report someone? I was just in a match where a player started his turn with 14 troops without a bonus? He had his cap no bonus and not enough territories for extra 9 troops. Was like he still got troops for the 2 bonuses I just broke. What can you do? report and quit 🤨🤷

Maybe this isn’t accurate by stats but I feel like whenever I watch Pete play Arco, Arco gets shafted by someone or forced into some sort of less ideal positioning. Like the threat of Arco causes Arco to never have a good game.

being only 24:00 into the game, why does peat have his larger stack higher and the lower stack only 15. won’t having the lower stack bigger hinder whites chances at winning more, giving peat a slight edge i may be miss reading the position, i only really play prog zombies and am not a gm, only a master

In a public lobby sure. Against good opponents (or in this case the best of the best) all they have to do to counter the move is keep skipping, then we stalemate the game. Skipping in my seat in the Hall of Fam tournament is disrespectful to my opponents because it assumes they're bad players and aren't going to immediately see through my move. It also stalemates the game and wastes everyones time. @@pariss1445

Isn't a stalemate an improvement to your position? I mean you said that players in seats 3,4 and 5 have the best chance of winning, if I'm not mistaken, so shouldn't it be on them to break the stalemate? One example from chess comes to mind, if you repeat the position there 3 times, the game is a stalemate, so whenever this can occur the player with the advantage decides if he wants to let go of some of his advantage to continue the game, the player with the disadvantage is fine with a stalemate. Another point I have, if you all start skipping cards then you all build up army strength which should mitigate the disadvantage of making a set first, e.g if you waited for 20 turns and everyone had 60 more troops it wouldn't be so devastating to set first, since even with their sets of 25,30 etc. they wouldn't win on the spot if you all have a lot of troops.
