I never comment, but I truly want Dr. Lee to know that as a nurse of 25 yrs I also recognized immediately what we were up against because of the ill and dangerous man he is. This was in 2015 when he was campaigning. It was her words of wisdom that gave me the affirmation I needed to know my worst instincts about this man were (and remain) true. That’s the only way I have been able to remain grounded and frankly empathetic to those who did not or still have not come to terms with the danger he poses to our children and grandchildren’s futures. I could not show my feelings at work, as most of the men in my department loved him. I was one of two women in that area, being a college educated professional amidst skilled laborers. A liberal arts education; hell any higher ed makes one less likely to fall for types such as trump. I am a physician and understand the APA's postion; however, I wholeheartedly commend Dr. Lee's courage and integrity in speaking out against the threat that Trump's presidency posed (and continues to pose) to our democracy. After reading Trump’s ghostwritten book several decades ago, my conclusion was ‘He’s a sociopath’. On his election, I said to friends that now the general public was going to get a mass education on NPD, etc., whether they liked it or not. It’s my observation that most of the MAGA (like MTG, etc) also have similar issues and would likely have a similar diagnosis. I grew up with two members of family with these issues. It’s pretty easy to spot people with these traits after a lifetime of dealing with them at close quarters. They should never be allowed into positions of power anywhere, let alone as a leader of a country

Listen to this - her specific area of focus is how dangerous narcissists contribute to violent behavior - the effect as an individual - and their affect on bringing others to violence. So for instance when Ivana recommended a plastic surgeon to correct his receding hair - and the procedure did not go well - and he allegedly threw her to the ground and pulled some of her hair out and followed that up by raping her. This is a superb interview. Truly fascinating. And somewhat personally painful as I reflected on an occasion where I personally experienced the extreme version she referred to ‘shared psychosis’. My experience was from when I was a drug user over a decade ago & I spent a weekend with a friend who was also diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia. I ended up so delusion by the end of the weekend, even reflecting on it is scary. I took on his delusions totally. By the way I have no prior experience like this or since. I ended up with a paranoid narrative i believed in 100% to such an extend I ended up making up factious scenarios to support it. I thought police were out to get me, that I was being followed. It was literally madness. I refused to listen to any dissenting opinions from caring friends. It took me days to come back to reality. It scared me shitless. And I never ever put myself in such a vulnerable host position again. Obviously most ppl don’t experience it to such an obvious extreme. But the close mindedness of maga supporters is just like my own experience. It’s a very real dangerous situation to be in. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone, anyone at all.
