It's a bit weird that I say that I'm not afraid of clowns before spending the best part of 20 minutes telling everyone how terrifying clowns are. I guess I never found them scary when I was a child but this video is specifically about creepy clowns. If you try hard enough you can make anything creepy.

the part of Sweet Tooth actually having its own spinoff game about his twisted past and being somewhat like Hatred was at one point a reality but was for a short period of time before being canned altogether. There is this remake of the first Twisted Metal for PSP that has a demo of a now cancelled devil may cry hack and slash brawler with Sweet Tooth as the main protagonist, thing was that never got enough traction to have a game on its own and Sony thought it could be very risky to do it because the more recent Twisted Metal games wasnt being sold all that well.

A shout out to Sweettooth (needles) from Twisted metal series too as he's definitely up there as scary when you go into his backstory he had to be number 1 or at least top 5 as he was the villain for the first one and been a fan favorite after that

The origin of clowns as villains was I Pagliacci, the Opera by Ruggero Leoncavallo. It was an extreme juxtaposition of a clown (a performer that brings people joy) being a murderer, that's what made the story interesting

I was playing Citizens of Space (an RPG Sega published recently about flying around Space and gathering allies) and I'm exploring one of the first dungeon-like areas, when I start hearing creepy laughs. At certain points, this little clown dude would appear somewhere in the dungeon, always behind a wall or around a corner, but by the time I moved through it to find him, he was always gone. I googled it, and couldn't find ANYTHING about it, since it was a niche game that was like 2 days old at the time (you can find stuff about it now tho). I thought I was living in an ACTUAL CREEPYPASTA, it was so damn creepy.

I know that it's not the most well known game, but the clowns in West of Loathing I feel deserve an honorable mention. Not only are they described to have a foul demeanor, like yellow teeth and dirty clothes, but they are literal demons from Hell who walk the earth in an attempt to fight back the main enemies in the game: spectral cows that have arisen from the dead to take revenge on the cowboys who used them as livestock. It's a weird game.

I was thinking that Pennywise in the classic IT was the root of “the fear of clowns” I didn’t dress up as a twisted jester this year, I didn’t think being a clown this year was the best idea. maybe because of skarsgard pennywise and Phoenix joker. So I had a pumpkin skull mask and stabbed rubber knives into my back and sleeve while holding a staff with the head of my old costume symbolizing that I was killing it off, having a brand new look, but still doing the same thing I’ve done for two years. Generously, handing out Halloween candy. I look scary, but I’m a nice person..... surrounded by scary decorations. Next year, I’ll play as a dead body!

While I am a hardcore FF4 fan at heart, I will defend to the death Kefka's title as "best FF villain". That man knew what he was, what he wanted, and how he was gonna get it. And unlike so many FF villains, that cackling prick actually won. But in all seriousness, the creepiest clown in videogames for me has to be Wally from Lisa: The Painful, especially since he comes *entirely* out of nowhere and has no explanation or backstory for how he ended up the way he is. I'd almost like to have seen Baby from five nights at freddy's sister location. 1. Shes a clown. You cant get away from that clown makeup and just general form 2. She literally scooped up a little girl and crushed her inside her body, then being haunted by the girl's spirit 3. She later becomes Ennard, who scoops out the main protagonist (who might be her brother) of the game and wears his body as a meat suit, and then scrap baby, who had rollerblades and a claw hand for reasons. 4. She makes ice cream!

I'd like to give an honorable mention to the clown slasher in Death By Daylight. It looks like as is Dropsy didnt take his antidepressants and became a killer. Terrifying design, he cuts the fingers of his victims and (not sure how, havent played too much of Death by Daylight) is able to slowly bring in stuff from the circus.
