Eco-Drive is truly a phenomenal technology. I owned a Kinetic in the early 2000's and it was a cool watch! Great selection of movements!

Would be a big improvement if you created chapters with clickable links to each chapter.

Hadn't actually thought to do that obvious as it is, I''ll see if I can do that for my next list video

The Bulova Computron D-Cave Special Edition 98C140 is kinda interesting in that it’s an LED digital watch with calendar, but it’s one of the only that has an open case top, revealing its circuit-board. Nerdy!

That was very insightful!! Great work!

Good rundown. I have a couple of these as well. I too am surprised you didn’t mention the Bulova Precisionist. Damn fine movement, and definitely unique in a market lacking anything new. As innovative as some of the others you put up.

The seagul st17 jump hour conplication is very interesting and it should be in this list. Is the movement in Pierre paulin jump hour. Other than that the video is very informative! Cheers 🍻

Can't believe that you missed the classic Accutron (and its Swiss counterpart, the ESA 9162), which isn't being produced today, but it can be found in many classic watches under $1K.

You’ve done an exceptional list of movements 👌❤️👍, another contender would be the ETA 7001 (among the thinnest hand winds) which is also known as the Peseux 7001. Strangely this movement was acquired by ETA back in time BUT has recently been discontinued in their list of Mecaline movements thus these can be acquired thru preworn watches thru: E-Bay, Etsy, Pawn shops, etc. for exceptional low prices. These were extremely popular in the 1980 ?- 2015 era. An exceptional movement which engineering should have customized to have a micro-rotor, this would have been a KING of movement, an automatic movement will give constant force which will promote accuracy but that’s another story.

@@ImpulsiveWatches Thanks! Do a search on Google for: Mecaline & ETA, you will find a database of movements, print them (always a good reference point). All the best , Johnny

Just got the Hodinkee System 51 today, picked it up in their sale for $35 along with some $1 straps. I have several power powermatic 80s, a deep dive into the variations would make an interesting video.

Great list, although I generally prefer the mecha-quartz variants that have a running seconds hand.

Have two Eco drives and both sit in my watch box out of my rotation as I couldn't keep them charged. I still love the looks of both and the quality for what I paid for minus the poor solar charging.

Bulova precisionist. Such an interesting movement, shame that majority of the watches housing it are so ugly
@ImpulsiveWatches2 ай бұрын
I think that's fairly true of Bulova in general to be fair ^^. A lot of what they make reminds me of Invicta, but then they have some absolute gems buried in there.

@@ImpulsiveWatches If they made some more mass appealing designs and more sizes surely they would make a fortune, maybe I’m missing something but I think that movement is that good that it makes a terrible looking watch half appealing

The new Super Seville is not horrible. I'm not into integrated watches or fluted bezels, but it's a decent looking watch, and not massive.

The Seiko has a 4 Hz sweep and the Bulova 16 Hz. I was lucky to find a Bulova blu lobster.

I'm thinking about a few different things along these lines - meteorite, specific gemstones etc. I hadn't thought of linen, thanks!
