I'm glad to see you awesome teachers. This industry needs more teacher like you guys. Also mr Brian Orr as well. As a hvac tech even though I went to hvac school in my late 40s with having bachelor degree back home, I learned so much unbelievable from both you phenomenal instructors. I will drop my hats to you guys and I love teaching even with my little knowledge because when students ask me questions I don't know I'm much more eager to get that answer that I can provide them best answer. Love all your tips. Keep it up. Love you guys. God bless.

The best part of teaching is when you see a student suddenly understand something that puzzled them and you find a way to explain it that they can understand. Or, a student without much confidence becoming more and more confident by the day and them passing the knowledge on to others that don't understand a topic. It's the best feeling ever.

"You can't give anybody an education, you can offer them an education" - Thomas Sowell Real leaning is about brooding over something, going the wrong way, fixing some details, whereas most schooling is about game show answers. "Quick, 8 reasons for the Civil War, come on, come on". But we are all conditioned to the gameshow educational system which is about getting good grades to the detriment of real learning. So the first thing to overcome is the decade+ conditioning everyone has when they walk into a classroom. And it might even be the past "good student," who excelled at passing tests, that has the hardest time with getting away from gameshow answers to real learning. And the customer doesn't care if they can name the parts of the system and give the textbook definition, if they can't fix it.
@acservicetechchannel2 жыл бұрын
I completely agree, most learning occurs when the student has to struggle through fixing something on their own. No partners to rely on, no mixing in with the other students answering. Each student has to have their own project and service calls to perform or no real learning will take place, thanks!

Just getting started in Hvac but can't find anything that makes sense. Dealing with low superheat and low low subcooling on new Goodman units. Superheat falls immediately could it be the wrong txv or airflow heat pump by the way.
@mackenziegray20902 жыл бұрын
What's your pressures? You should check airflow before adjusting refrigerant.
@mountainman95552 жыл бұрын
Pressures seem to be good suction line around 50. I think it's a txv adjustment issue that was not adjusted after first charge on the goodmans

That could be a stuck open TXV such as with the bulb being in a warm area and not insulated or not attached on the vapor line. The TXV usually comes preset from the factory at 10-14 degrees on ac units. Thanks!
