I paid $800 for mine a year ago and it’s very impressive. I haven’t updated my Autel ultra yet because the lite 2 has done every I’ve needed so far.

I've been using one for about a year now, it's a great tool for sure, especially at 1/10 what the tool truck brands cost. I also have their battery tester, jump start Li-battery and all have been great.

I love the lite 2. Its my first bi directional scan tool and once you get used to the opersting system its a very nice tool.

I have a Pheonix Lite 2 - it's a nice tool. Has holes in coverage, just like everything else. Graphing is good, speed is good. Solid tool.

For sure, there is no one scan tool that can do it all! But for $800, you cannot beat what this tool can do. It is my recommendation for any of my students for a first scan tool

We've been making some videos with the original Phoenix. Just released a two part series on the website using it and I have a few others here on YT as well. I'm sure we will get one, all I needed to do was ask. We just thought this would be good marketing for them too, so we did it this way 🙂

Hey SD, have you tried the Topscan version? It's a Bluetooth dongle/phone app bidirectional scanner from topdon. It's a lot cheaper than the tablet scanners. Would be curious to get your take on that product.

I have that version and the bi- directional controls actually work like the full sized scan tool. I was pretty amazed with that part.

Hi Paul I see you once in awhile using a Snapon Versus Edge Scope do you have any training videos on your member site that shows how to use the scope features. Do you still use your Versus and guided component tests or has Topdon been your goto.

For anyone who owns it how does it compare to the kingbolen(aka thinktool) k-8 or k10? Just bought the newest vehicle i have ever owned (2015 mazda cx5) and only came with 1 key fob so ofcourse i need to purchase a 800 to 1000 scan tool to fix this problem. 😂. Currently own a otc encore and i find it lacking. No key programming for one.

The Lite 2 does have it, but I believe it is a paid upgrade. (I've heard $100)

I have one, bought a year ago, it's not bad, but not impressed! It corrupted my scan streams from a few cars, I couldn't open them anymore, and I lost them forever! No system topology, which is nice to have! Otherwise is good, but there is better on the market!

@@ScannerDanner Sure. Scans are stored in the History folder. It worked for a while, I could open and review them, but suddenly they got stuck with the message " no matching file found" while "Loading" stayed still on screen. I had to clear the cache, but the files were deleted! I contacted them through tablet support, but no answer.

They had it but it was removed. Topdon gets their software from Launch and Topdon wasn’t willing to fork over more money to Launch supposedly.

@@ScannerDanner Ops, forgot the context. My Autel MS906 BT has been serving me well. The issues I'm having with the Autel is not get trans temp readings for Chrysler. And using the scope on my Autel works but is a cabling nightmare, especially when one of the cables had a poor internal connection. Currently looking at a used Snap-On Versus Edge. It's combined scope and scanner function is appealing.

I love you man, but please don’t support a tool that isn’t supported by autoauth. That’s ALL 2018+ stellantis (Chrysler/Dodge/jeep ect…). A tool that requires an illegal bypass cable to get around the gateway module isn’t a good tool, it’s a scam.
