Thanks for the comparison! I got my K-Elite for free from Amazon; They delivered someone else's to us, told us to keep it and they shipped another to the original customer. I never cared for the premium cost of K-cups. I used to drink fresh ground and used a French Press until mobility issues arose... I see the Keurig as a salvation from instant coffee, and will be buying a couple of reusable cups when I register the machine. Your videos are very helpful, showing maintenance and usability procedures that could've been documented better.

I've watched so many videos and read so many reviews to answer my question of if the iced button really makes a difference. Thank you for ending my search!! Your in depth comparison is much appreciated!!

I just ordered the K-Elite for $129.99 with 48 k-cups included. I was leaning toward the Select at first, but I liked the extra reservoir capacity and additional custom settings, esp temp control. It's only $20 more for the Elite and the extra features were worth that to me.

The fact that the K-Elite has a control board mounted to a moving part is a down side, as it makes it more likely to break over time. The controls on the K-select are mounted to a stationary part of the machine, so you don't have data cables repeatedly flexing every time the lid is opened. I had an older Keurig which had the touch screen on the lid and this is how it eventually died. It did last four years though, which is a pretty good run for an appliance with lots of moving parts, but it would have lasted even longer were it not for the touch screen breaking. I'm glad to see they got way from those touch screens as well, physical buttons are much more reliable and easy to repair when they do break.

Oh, I thought it was going to be " The Elite vs. the people" But that's another story. So I have the Select in red- and I have been running the water through as you suggest when I'm finished with my 3 cups of morning coffee. Mine is getting pretty old but still works fine. Thanks for all your info I also have a Cuisinart coffee maker, a French press, and a brew over thing. Ya, gotta have options. And to think I never drank coffee until I was 45 yrs. old.

Haha, that's funny :D Also, never to late to start; glad to have another Keurig user that still uses a french press. Eventually I'll get to some guides on those things too; there are a few fancy french presses out there that lots of people don't know about. Hope I get to those sooner than later. Thanks for your comments Kathy!

Newman's Organics on strong, k-select, you can't beat it. I almost like my parents k Select as much as my k Supreme +. Major Dikasons is my favorite on the k Supreme+.

The thing your missing with the hot water button is the temp. Some people like their coffee less hot so they program the temp they want. Then if they need hot water they don’t have to change the temp. Have a good day

We have the elite at work and it brews extremely fast. Thinking about getting one for my home since it’s so convenient and can serve coffee to multiple people quickly. Would be optimal for guests who stay over and don’t have to wait for me to wake up and make a pot of coffee.

I got a K-Elite on sale for $30 less than the K-Select about two years ago. Have not used the iced button, but the four ounce is great for making instant oatmeal (and a rinse).

The only reason I bought the elite was for the iced coffee. I think I’m going to take it back.

With all the issues the Supreme line has had I’d say there wildly inferior to the K-Elite.

Just returned ANOTHER Supreme Plus back to Costco after it wouldn’t turn on. Second one only lasted 8 months! Replaced with the Elite, today! We have a Supreme at our rental property still going strong after 6 years. Supreme has known issue of just dying because a thermostat switch gets stuck. Need to remove the side, find the thermostat, and poke a hole on the of it with a paperclip. Will probably happen again unless replaced. Not worth the trouble.
