Harry Wayne Casey started disco group KC & The Sunshine Band back in 1973.
KC and the Sunshine Band is an American disco and funk band, founded in 1973 in Hialeah, Florida.Their best-known songs include the hits "That's the Way (I Like It)", "(Shake, Shake, Shake) Shake Your Booty", "I'm Your Boogie Man", "Keep It Comin' Love", "Get Down Tonight", "Boogie Shoes", "Please Don't Go" and "Give It Up". The band took its name from lead vocalist Harry Wayne Casey's last name ('KC') and the 'Sunshine Band' from KC's home state of Florida, the Sunshine State. The group had six top 10 singles, five number one singles and two number two singles on the Billboard 100 Chart.

Dia 31 de Julho de 2024, eu estava na cidade de Santa Luzia do Pará/Pa as 23:30 com minha filha, minha mãe, meu pai, meu irmão e minha irmã na BR esperando o onibus da Empresa boa Esperança para eu voltar para minha cidade São Luís/Ma. Quem ia comigo no onibus era minha filha e minha mãe. Meu pai e meus irmãos iam ficar em santa Luzia. Quando o onibus chegou quase meia noite e o motorista abriu a porta dele para colocar nossa bagagem, estava tocando esse música na cabine dele. Me deu um aperto no coração, lembrei da tradução dessa música, bateu a saudade do meu pai e dos meus irmãos que ficaram. Entrei no onibus com minha filha e minha mãe e viemos embora para São Luis.
